Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally, a worthy replacement Our previous electric griddle was broken when the cat decided he wanted to lounge around on the kitchen counter where it was, and pushed it off onto the tile floor. We looked for a comparable product for months, and couldn't find one anywhere. I wouldn't have expected to find one like this at a store where I usually buy clothes, but I had to walk through the kitchen section of the store to pick up something from the in-store delivery area, and there it was. It doesn't have as big a grease tray as the old one, which would be good for cooking bacon, which is the only negative possibility. June 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the drip pan Great griddle. Beware temperature suggestions given are too high. Reduce temperature when cooking for best results. Otherwise, this is a good griddle for the price. June 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cooks Electric Griddle This griddle is the best purchase I've ever made ! Very useful and fast to make breakfast for my family. It saves me time and is very easy to clean. I can cook many things at the same time. The price is right, especially if you catch a sale and apply a reward, which I did. Absolutely the best! June 15, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Did not work good My husband bought me this as a Christmas gift. I used it for the first time today. It's a nice looking grill but it's performance was horrible. I don't normally write reviews but I just had to on this one. I plugged everything in, i put it on the correct temperature for the bacon and sausage that I cooked. Everything started out fine until I look at the temperature control and the orange light was not on. I increased the temp up to 400. It started back cooking. Looked down a couple of minutes later...the orange light was off again. So..i unplugged it and plugged it back in. The temp control would only come on when I turned it up to 350. It went OFF AGAIN, then I turned it up to 400 it started working again. I must have unplugged and plugged it about 5 or 6 times until I finished cooking. I think the temp control dial is jacked up. Now what I can say good about this grill is that it did cook the pancakes great, but I was still having to plug and unplug it as I cooked, cause that's the only way I could get it to work... Not a happy customer!!!! February 20, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Okay for the price I made pancakes last weekend, the recipe said to preheat the griddle to 375, but as soon as the batter hit the griddle they were scorched. I put the temp down to about 300 and it was better, but I think it heats too hot. June 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by good product, very satisfied love my griddle, so convenient, this produce is so easy to use, even my little niece can assist with her pancakes, (she's only 4 years old). clean up is a snap, just wipe off and store. not only good for breakfast, but for any meal when you don't want to heat up the house. Answer:
I clean mine while it's still hot. Unplug unit and use a thick wet clothe and wipe entire surface. Works wonderfully and quite simple.

Answer:
Just soap and water and a soft sponge or non-abrasive pad! Because of the Teflon coating, treat it as you would when you cook with Teflon pans, etc. I've even just used a damp dish towel or paper towel for clean-up and to prevent scratching the surface. Just a reminder, coat the surface with cooking spray or vegetable oil before cooking to prevent the food from sticking. You could use butter also, but tends to burn!

Answer:
Keeping the electrical end up and out of water, put a bit of dish liquid on it and wipe with a soft sponge. Then just rinse and dry. It cleans super easy and quick.

I can see that it is best suitable for breakfast type preps, but I would like to know if i can cook raw meats, or chicken on it.

Answer:
We've not yet used to cook meat. Instead, we use to saute potatoes/other veggies in a little bit of olive oil...or to cook pancakes also in a little bit of canola oil. We've had for less than six months.
