Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make ice cream all year round Quick & Easy! With 5 teenage children this gets a lot of use! We have had this machine almost a year and we use it at least a few times a month. Great conversation and active family involvement after a family dinner. Use the quick recipes for after dinner desert while you clean up the dishes. Within 1/2 hour you have a wonderful dessert by itself or on the side with birthday cake. I have also made many homemade sorbets with fresh fruit and summer ripe fruits. Add any combo and you have your own creation! We haven't made anything we haven't gobbled up! Keep the inside freezer bowl at the ready in your freezer for dessert any time!! We have had a lot of fun with this simple to use high quality ice cream maker appliance ! Keeps the teens close to home and their friends love to visit to create some new concoction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Easy When I unwrapped my Cuisinart Ice Cream Machine I found a crack in the base about an inch or so from the gear. Looks like a pressure crack and doesn't seem too serious so I haven't returned it. I used it for the first time tonight and the ice cream was delish! Only problem...and I followed the recipe to a "T", was I set the timer on the stove to let the ice cream blend for 20 min. I should have stood there towards the end and kept an eye on it because...the ice cream swells up and it had run over the top of the freezer bucket and all down inside the machine and all over the counter. It was a mess!! Now I looked at it when it had about 5 min left to go and it was fine..so that last 5 min was the culprit, (directions do say 15-20 min) but besides the mess the ice cream was heavenly. I made the Fresh Strawberry flavor. Can't wait to make the Butter Pecan. I bought my granddaughter one of these for Christmas and couldn't wait to get my own!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Easy! We purchased this ice cream maker after a friend suggested it. It is so incredibly easy to use! Just mix a few basic ingredients together, pour 'em in and walk away. 20 minutes later you have perfect ice cream. The system was a bit expensive, but the convenience is awesome. I also highly recommend the initial "vanilla" recipe that is the very first one in the booklet. We use half the vanilla, and then add what ever mix-ins we want. Very basic, and super tasty!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great way to have fast ice cream with unique flavors I love banana ice cream and can rarely find it. The recipe included with the machine for banana ice cream makes a delicious treat. I had trouble the second use trying to get the paddles to fit and figured out that you have to make sure the freezer unit is completely dry prior to freezing or you get a coating of ice on the bottom that throws the fit off. (Remember you have to be smarter than the machine, duh.) Otherwise, it was on sale and I had a coupon so the price was right and the opportunity for unique flavors works for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ice Cream maker Had trouble with the first batch of ice cream. I read the reviews and got the help I needed. Make sure the freezer tub is completely frozen 24 plus hours. This is difficult for those of us that are eager to try the product. Add flavorings at the end of the freezing process. Flavorings may have an ingredient that can act as an antifreeze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use This is my first ice cream maker so there was a little for me to learn. For example, the canister must be in the freezer for a minimum of 16 hours to be able to make ice cream. But I have already made a few different flavors already. Easy to use, love the recipes and looking for more!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product I bought this for my daughter-in-law's Birthday in Oct. and she loves it. She has made ice cream at least 6 times with different flavors. She even brought some over for us to try. It was great. Barb .

What is the capacity of this ice cream maker?

I don't see a capacity listed for this ice cream maker. How much does it make? 1 pint? 1 quart? 4 quarts?
Asked by: Anonymous
The capacity is five (5) cups. More than that and it gets too full.
