Rated 1 out of 5 by Momlilburn Motor overheated and Almost burned out
I purchased one of these for my family, I thought it would be great to be able to make ice cream when you want it.The one and only time I tried it, the liquid froze 1/4 inch thick all around the bowl. The paddles didn't fit into the bowl then. I let it run per the instructions, The motor was very hot to touch. I was afraid it was going to burn the motor out. It never did get past the liquid runny stage either. I returned it to the store very disappointed.

We only used it once and it broke! First of all, the Ice cream froze to solid ice inside bowls and broke the cheap plastic mixing paddle as it was churning. So we set the bowls on the counter to thaw and then the bowls cracked all by themselves and nasty-smelling chemical liquid seeped into the 'ice cream' and filled up the whole kitchen with its horrible odor! beware!

We gave several of these as gifts for Christmas and each recipient loved it. It is small enough that it doesn't take up a ton of room like a full sized ice cream maker, and makes just enough ice cream for a couple to share. Every single person who used it said it makes great ice cream.

This little wonder does the trick! Makes a bowl of fresh ice cream in about 6-8 minutes! If you want to make enough for a crowd, this is NOT for you... BUT if you want enough for one or two servings at a time it's perfect!
