Rated 4 out of 5 by Midge this product works well and is easy to use
I'm getting older now, but I still like my home made bread. I realized kneading was getting to be difficult and that I needed to get something that would do it for me. I like my mixer

I was very pleased with my new Sunbeam mixer. Love the retro look. It reminds so much of the one my mom had when I was growing up. And that brings back so many fond memories. I'm not an avid baker, but did need something more than a hand mixer. I decided not to go with a Kitchen Aide, due to the price, and I'm glad I didn't. This has everything I need in a mixer, but none of the extras I'd never use. The only thing that would have been nice, is a whisk along with beaters and dough hooks. I would and will recommend this to others.

I got a sunbeam about 40 years ago..lasted about 25 to 30 years..got a second one maybe 10 years ago..got 2 bowls, dough hook and wire beaters, wasn't as good as my first..but still fairly decent..worked fairly good..but this last one is a piece of junk to put it mildly..only one bowl, and just dough hook..bowls don't lock, nor do they spin..this one can't even cream soft. Cream cheese..and like another mentioned, not much difference in the low speed or the top..taking it back, if I have to spend $100 on a mixer..Will spend 75 to 100 more and get me a good one..the quality has gone so far down hill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MeltedGears Run far, far away!
Terrible product with a terrible design; Sunbeam knows it, but won't make changes or stand behind the product. Plastic gears inside the mixer melt and make the mixer unrepairable, and I was just whipping frosting. I can't imagine how they advertise this could knead bread dough. Customer service said once it's past warranty, they won't do anything about it. Long ago Sunbeam used metal gears, now they are plastic. Kitchen Aid still uses metal gears, and that's why their mixers can actually mix. Sunbeam calling a product that can't mix a "mixer" is fraudulent. "Heritage Series Boat Anchor" would be a more truthful name. All this did was fill my kitchen with the smell of burning plastic. Keep the fire extinguisher close by, and the phone to make dinner reservations; you won't be eating a home cooked meal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zachlayton Amazing Product
Being recently married my wife and I had registered for a kitchen-aid stand mixer in our registry but didn't receive it. Upon receiving the Sunbeam Stand Mixer I was surprised the quality of the product. My wife was excited to finally have a stand mixer to use in the kitchen. The same night we received it, we made pizza dough for dinner and waffle batter and whipped cream the next morning. It has opened the door for what we can make quickly and efficiently. I like the 2 beaters and interchangeable dough hooks for quick change and multiple functions. The dial to turn on and change the speed is really simple and I love that the dial is labeled with different suggestions for speed when making different things. I also enjoy the ability to move the bowl to mix on the side wall. Overall I say for the advertise price, functions, and abilities the Sunbeam has the edge over a kitchen-aid. *i was given this product as a test and did not purchase from a store.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Koko Mixer is OK for price
I like the look of this mixer. It reminds me of my mother's old mixer. I especially like the red color, which gives it a modern touch. The mixer is decent at mixing ingredients when the mixture is more on the liquid side. I found that when you add the dry ingredients and the mixture becomes heavier, the mixer can have a problem. The mixer will spin the bowl on its own; I like that feature. However, when a mixture becomes heavy with flour/dry ingredients, the mixer has trouble keeping the bowl in check on higher speeds. You have to guide/help control the bowl then. I don't particularly like the dial because I have trouble telling exactly which number I'm on. The cleanup of the bowl and blades is easy enough. I don't like that flour went into some of the crevices on the mixer the first time it was used, so that makes it harder to keep the mixer looking nice. Overall, I think the mixer is just OK for the price. Note: I was given this mixer free for review purposes.

Years ago I was given a Sunbeam stand mixer. After many years, it stopped working. I had used it alot cooking for my growing family. The kids had grown so I was not cooking as much so I did not replace it. Two years ago we had a house fire and lost everything so when we talked about getting a stand mixer this time. I looked for one of the Sunbeam stand mixter. Found it during my JCP online shopping and got it. It has met my exceptions. Hope I will be as happy with this one as I was with my first!

The Sunbeam Heritage Stand Mixer* is absolutely beautiful. The one I am reviewing is red with chrome. If you like to leave your mixer out, it will not be an eye sore.
In addition to being beautiful, it is very functional. The stand accommodates a large and small bowl (mine came with the large bowl). The mixer also comes with two types of beaters: standard and kneading. There are many speed levels to choose from.
The stand mixer is nice because you can have the mixer turned on and still have your hands free to in order to add additional ingredients.
I have made cookies, cakes and truffles with my Sunbeam Heritage Stand Mixer. It really made mixing ingredients much more easy.
My only complaint is that the bowl can start to move up and down if the speed is not set to the appropriate level. That is an easy fix though. Just change the speed to meet the consistency of what you are mixing.
* I received this mixer as a sample to review.
