Rated 5 out of 5 by love sunbeam i love sunbeams so much, the ease of adding ingredients versus a kitchenaid, having hands on with your batter or dough. This makes excellent dough by the way, something I was never ever able to achieve in the kitchenaid. I love that its quiet, very quiet, thats important to me and all my recipes come out. I love this mixer so much, I had a white one from the beginning when they came out, and its still going strong but I wanted to try a color so I got a pink one. Have had them a few years and they work like a charm. February 3, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works good for cakes and cookies I bought this in January 2016. I'd had a Sunbeam Mixmaster for years, having received it as a wedding gift. It worked GREAT. When it finally gave out, I bought this one with the dough hooks, thinking I could easily make homemade bread. The first recipe I tried for Italian bread was a trying experience. The mixer bounced all over the counter, and I had to hold on to it to keep it from bouncing on the floor. That said, the mixer works great for cookies and cakes. But bread--I'm not sure. I wish Sunbeam would list at least one recipe using their product vs. using a recipe one off the Internet or a recipe book. There must be some changes one has to make. This is NOT a KitchenAid. There is a small book included with the mixmaster with a few simple recipes, but NONE for bread. It would be a great help. We could then adapt the other recipes we've grown fond of over the years. Overall, I give it four stars. Two stars for breadmaking. February 9, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by So-so I had a Sunbeam mixer for years and used it weekly. It did a wonderful job of beating, mixing, etc. When the motor died I decided to replace it with another Sunbeam. The new one does a TERRIBLE job of beating...to beat egg yolks to thick it took over 20 minutes, when the old one was done in about 7 minutes! The power is so much less than my old one.It never gets all ingredients along bowls side, and I do not like not being able to disengage head from stand as my previous one, even though it was heavy to hold. Rated 3 out of 5 by Mixer works great, only the beaters I bought a heritage series stand mixer for a week. Everything was perfect except beaters. Only use it twice, both beaters start to show rust spot. I washed them with soap, warm water and air dry. Not sure what cause the problem. I am thinking about take it back to store. May 26, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mixer is OK for price I like the look of this mixer. It reminds me of my mother's old mixer. I especially like the red color, which gives it a modern touch. The mixer is decent at mixing ingredients when the mixture is more on the liquid side. I found that when you add the dry ingredients and the mixture becomes heavier, the mixer can have a problem. The mixer will spin the bowl on its own; I like that feature. However, when a mixture becomes heavy with flour/dry ingredients, the mixer has trouble keeping the bowl in check on higher speeds. You have to guide/help control the bowl then. I don't particularly like the dial because I have trouble telling exactly which number I'm on. The cleanup of the bowl and blades is easy enough. I don't like that flour went into some of the crevices on the mixer the first time it was used, so that makes it harder to keep the mixer looking nice. Overall, I think the mixer is just OK for the price. Note: I was given this mixer free for review purposes. February 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Gift Reviewing this is difficult - it was purchased as a gift for my daughter, something she has wanted for a long time. It sits gift wrapped under the tree until Christmas Eve. I review on past experience with similar products from Sunbeam. December 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Product Being recently married my wife and I had registered for a kitchen-aid stand mixer in our registry but didn't receive it. Upon receiving the Sunbeam Stand Mixer I was surprised the quality of the product. My wife was excited to finally have a stand mixer to use in the kitchen. The same night we received it, we made pizza dough for dinner and waffle batter and whipped cream the next morning. It has opened the door for what we can make quickly and efficiently. I like the 2 beaters and interchangeable dough hooks for quick change and multiple functions. The dial to turn on and change the speed is really simple and I love that the dial is labeled with different suggestions for speed when making different things. I also enjoy the ability to move the bowl to mix on the side wall. Overall I say for the advertise price, functions, and abilities the Sunbeam has the edge over a kitchen-aid. *i was given this product as a test and did not purchase from a store. February 11, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY I bought this to replace another sunbeam mixer that stopped turning on its own. I just took it out of the box to use and it does not turn well. It took 45 minutes to beat egg whites. I would have been better off keeping my old mixer or buying another brand. April 27, 2016
