I bought this foam wedge to help with reflux. My doc has been telling me to do this for years. Instead I was using an array of pillows that worked but left me with back and neck pain. I am using this wedge under my mattress as in the photo. My mattress is a 12" memory foam mattress on a platform frame. So it is fairly light and does not squash the wedge at all. I have to admit it looks a little funny with the head higher than the foot of the bed but I can live with that since it really helps my reflux issue without hurting my back and neck. It came folded in a medium sized box and unfolded without any odor, or flat areas. I slept on it the first night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TransplantedConch Solved my problem!
I suffer from GERD and bought this about seven weeks ago to see if it would help my problem. I'm happy to say, I've only had one mild episode since I put it under my mattress. I was surprised at how well it elevated the head of the mattress. In fact, it looked so much higher I was a little worried. However, the height is perfect. It's so nice to sleep with just one pillow!

Literally, just what the doctor ordered. Product is as described, sturdy enough to maintain its shape under the weight of the mattress. Couldn't ask for better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jcr47 Best Reflux bed wedge on the market!
For years we have elevated our bed mattress because of reflux. But most of the products on the market only elevate the top part of the mattress & that bothers my spouse's back when she sleeps on her side. This wedge goes the whole length of the bed so it does not create such a problem.
Great fit & good value; highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MEME Helps with acid reflux greatly!
Has improved my Acid Reflux issues when sleeping well. I had used a odd combination of pillow to try and elevate to achieve the same benefit but this product does a much better job with the gradual incline angle.

I dislike sleeping directly on memory foam -- it's too warm.. I tried using this under my new luxury-model queen size mattress. You'll note the photo here shows it used precisely this way.. My mattress is so heavy I can barely lift it (and I'm no 98-pound weakling), so it was quite difficult getting the pad under the mattress in the first place. NOT worth the effort! The weight of the mattress alone squashed the pad flat, and there was NO incline whatsoever.
HAHAHA.... just TRY to return this item! It's shipped to you rolled tightly with all the air squashed out, and you will never in a million years get it back in the box. I couldn't even get it small enough to get it into my car to drive it 40 miles to the nearest Penneys store. I ended up cutting one side and a little of the end off to change it from queen size to full size, and put it under the mattress in my guest room. That's a a much lighter mattress, and the pad retains its incline there.
I'm sure some people will do just fine with this pad, but it failed me. Your mileage may vary.

I was concerned that this wedge might be too soft and would flatten. After several weeks of being under the mattress, it hasn't changed. Fits the queen-size box springs and mattress well. It has relieved nearly all of the stuffy sinus problem when sleeping. There was no new foam product odor.

I place this incline mattress above my regular mattress but under my new 4" topper. This allows the head of my bed to be higher than the foot and serves the purpose I purchased it for.
