Rated 4 out of 5 by good texture and qualitity I liked the product itself but I didn't like the color. It looked different than what was used on the internet. August 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great thermal curtains I bought these to help reduce the temperature in my sun room and living room. I have large windows, 6 feet tall and 12 feet long. Living in South Carolina, the summers here get very hot and humid. These curtains have helped lower the temperature in the rooms with the large windows, and thus my A/C bill is lower. Really nice product, would buy again. August 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Place to Buy Pinch Pleat Curtains JCPenney seems to be the only place left in the world to buy pinch pleat curtains, and I could not be happier. In the old days, people had shades, sheers, and curtains to layer their windows, and there's a good reason for that! I appreciate the softness, practicality and temperature control that curtains can bring to a home. I bought the Royal Velvet Blue Delft curtains in 95", a length that is becoming very hard to find. The Blue Deft is a happy sky blue color with a silver/grey undertone; it's pretty much true to the internet color. I actually bought these same curtains years ago for a bedroom, and came back to buy more for the living room. The finish is sort of a raw silk look, with a soft sheen. The thermal backing is a white fabric that is not stiff or rigid. (Just looks like lined curtains to me). I've switched my living room curtains out probably six times looking for a color that is most right, and I absolutely love these curtains. Especially for the price! The curtains shipped quickly, and I ordered them with rings and heavy duty hooks from JCP. It's fairly easy to slip the hooks into the fabric and hang the curtains; and if in doubt, there are YouTube videos to show you how to do it. Like many other customers, I didn't bother to iron out the wrinkles and the curtains shook out just fine. I hung them on existing medium-sized rods and did not experience any sagging. Thank you JCP for continuing to offer pinch pleat curtains, as I have many JCP sets in my house, and will continue to keep coming back due to your value and selection. I particularly like your curtains that have a bit of texture and some thermal protection. July 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful curtain. Hangs nicely. Good value. Not black-out. Beautiful curtain. Hangs nicely. Good value but not black out. Using it on a SW facing window and hoped it would have a thicker lining. It does seem to be helping with keeping some of the afternoon heat out of the room. August 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by good looking and functional These curtains seem to reduce the amount of heat coming through my hall window. They look good and were easy to hang using the large back tabs. The "cream" color is actually white which is fine with me. I will need a heavier, darker pair for winter but these are perfect for summer. August 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good quality drapes These drapes are well made and the linen color is very nice. I was also having a hard time finding 100" x 95" drape so was happy to find these. Am also happy to confirm that they do block out much of the heat from the sun. August 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice drapes The drapes are lined, hang beautifully and block out much of the sun. I purchased the linen color so it does not block out all of the sun due to its light color but it does block out much of the heat. The back-tabs also make it very easy to hang on a rod. Rated 3 out of 5 by Very disappointed I bought the lined drapes for my large living room window. I wanted the thermal drapes for all three of my windows, but they did not come in the large size. I can't tell them apart. They are both lined and I found nothing "thermal" about the thermal drapes. I bought the dark brown and they looked great out of the package. When hung, and the sun shines they look absolutely BLACK. Someone even asked why I bought black and brown drapes for the same window as the slant of the sun hit only one panel! I was surprised to see how thin they appeared when the sun shines in. I was impressed by other reviews that said they didn't need to iron the drapes. They should have seen mine. What a mess. They were wrinkled and creased to the point it was hard to get them out with a steam iron. Horribly difficult to iron drapes! They seem to be quite flimsy and not at all what I expected the quality to be. I have bought drapes from Penney's for years and years and this is the first time I was disappointed. The span between the pleats were much different than previous drapes. They fit differently and like so many things these days, are just made cheaper than the "good old days". I truly dislike giving a negative review, but oh how I miss the "good old days". The only plus I can give is the fact Penney's actually has pinch pleated draperies at all. Sorry. I can't recommend these unless you are as desperate as I was to find pinch pleated draperies. I would have returned them, but once out of the package, ironed as best I could and hung, it was way to much work to do so. We will suffer through them until someone makes a better quality pinch pleated drape. August 16, 2015
