Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought these towels a while back because I wanted something light and absorbent. I loved them: so light ,yet easy to towel off and dry quickly. I bought a set for a friend with arthritis for Christmas thinking she too would enjoy their light weight. I was so disappointed when I went to her house and felt them. They were not the same at all. She isn't happy with them. They are very soft and not as absorbent. The finishing was not particularly attractive to begin with but it was functional. The new ones are not even that, with many threads loose and uneven edges. Why does Pennys do this? I stopped buying bedding a long time ago because every time I bought something, the next time it would be inches shorter, cases didn't cover the pillows, puffy mattress covers would disintegrate with the first (gentle, short cycle) wash. I wish they would stick with a winner long enough to develop and maintain a product line that we can trust for repeat business. I'm back on the market for the perfect towel and it's no longer here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and thirsty towels! I bought two of these towels a few months ago to try them out. I came back to buy two more because I really like them. I own so many towels that I couldn't justify buying a whole new set of towels, but because of these towels, I'm coming around to buying a couple at a time and delegating old towels to the rag bin. I haven't used fabric softener with towels in years since I heard that can keep towels from absorbing water. Sometimes, towels can feel a bit scratchy after a few washes if not using fabric softener, but not these towels. These towels stay soft and absorbent wash after wash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price, Great Space Saver! I purchased a set of these towels, wash cloths and hand towels in Roosevelt Taupe. I really love them! While it took some getting used to using a thinner towel like this (as opposed to your typical big fluffy towel) they really do dry faster and take up significantly less room in my linen closet — HUGE plus for me! Two or three of these towels take up the same space as a normal big fluffy towel depending on how you fold them. Also, they leave behind little to no lint — another huge bonus. One word of caution — the dye run varies a little bit (at least in the Roosevelt Taupe line) so I would advise going into the store to pick these up so you can be sure all your towels match colorwise. This color is generally tan/grey/taupe but some variations are slightly more pink. For this reason, try to buy a set all at once if you can. Also beware of face/body wash products containing benzoyl peroxide. This will bleach the color!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft & lightweight, yet absorbent I've been looking for a towel that is soft, lightweight, and absorbent. I was delighted to find these at JCP. My old towels were too heavy when wet and took forever to hang dry. These JCP towels are everything I wanted. I like the waffle pattern fabric, it's simple yet offers some style. The towels also work well with my long hair (don't "weigh down" my head). I would have given 5 stars, but I found the towels have unraveled after one month of use (another reviewer mentioned this problem too.). To clarify... the towels are folded over and sewn shut at the ends and the folding became detached, but the fabric as a whole is still intact (so it's not that big a deal). I addition to lower rating, the butterfly green color is neon green and I was expecting a mossy green (another reviewer also motioned the color brightness problem). However, I ordered these on-line so you get what you get - so I cannot complain too much about the color - and now that I'm used to the brightness it doesn't seem so bad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hope the towels will be of good quality When shopping for towels, First, I look for towels with no patterns between the edges. Most of the towels have some kind of pattern near one of the edges. Second, I look for towels that have variety of colors, at least 5 colors if not more: White (a must), Blue, , Black, Green, Grey, and say Brown. Third: towels that do not lint as this is a major problem where towels’ lint gets on clothes. Fourth: towels that do not bleed colors as this can ruin other fabric being washed with the towels. Sixth: towels that do not disintegrate with washing and drying. Seven: the towels should be reasonably priced to consumers, vendors, and manufacturers. So far these towels come in at least 3 colors that I saw at JC Penny. And the towels have no patterns between the edges. It is yet to be seen how the towel will perform in usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quik-Dri towels are the best. Have you ever grabbed a towel after showering and tried to dry yourself but the towel only moved the water around? I always buy JCP towels but I received this most beautiful towel as a gift from another store from a good friend. We have a gift exchange after Christmas and we give gifts of practicality. The towel we will call Mr. Fluffy is nice to look at but try drying yourself. Mr. Fluffy towel leaves you wet and having to grab a second towel to finish the job. I have bought my towels at JCP as has my family for decades. Back a couple years ago I purchased several of the Quik-Dri towels and was pleasantly surprised. They dry a person beautifully and when you hang them on a rack or hook they live up to their name. This allows one to use the towel several times before laundering which I had never done in the past. They are great looking and have become a staple in my home. Mr. Fluffy sits on a shelf never to chosen. When my best friend had a bathroom makeover I supplied her in new towels and yes they were Quik-Dri only. This past Christmas I had a post Christmas get together and yes everyone received Quik-Dri towels. Based upon price, looks and color choice this is one great buy.....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just OK Wanted a couple hand towels for my updated bathroom. The color (Classic Stone) was perfect, but the quality was not great. Somewhat thin and construction was fair. After washing many threads to cut off and edges were puckering. Wouldn't buy anymore and glad I didn't buy the bath towels to match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Towels All of the towels I have purchased recently were wiping the water off instead of drying. These towels actually dry and are very soft.

What are you doing about the hems coming unstitched.I have a lot of these towels. I need to replace some but not if there going to come apart. When is

Asked by: hutchbird
I have not had this issue. Nevertheless, I would use my sewing machine or mend by hand. Because these are hems, they would be relatively easy and not very time consuming to repair using either method.
