Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than my Breville After four years, my beloved Breville K-cup machine pump is working intermittently, so I replaced it with the Cuisinart model. While the Breville's design is more sleek, the Cuisinart design is quite attractive and has a classic appeal. The Cuisinart model features delighters such as: hot water dispensing and a water filter. I am generally not a fan of its blue backlit screen, for it is harder to read than a white backlit screen, but that is a trivial point. The unit heats more quickly than my former Breville and appears to be working as advertised. The Cuisinart, like the Breville, boasts a quality feel. Given that Breville discontinued its k-cup machine, I believe that the Cuisinart is a superior replacement overall with more features, a competitive price and an attractive design to boot. Rated 5 out of 5 by LYK BARBERRY I LYKD SO MUCH I BOUGHT A 2ND ONE! OH MY WORD! I HAVE HAD SEVERAL VERSIONS OF THE KEURIG -- THE PERSONAL SIZE, THE K12, THE K65 AND THE PLATINUM SERIES.....I KEPT SELLING ONE MODEL AND UPGRADING TO ANOTHER....AND WHILE I FOUND NOTHING REALLY WRONG WITH ANY OF THEM THEY JUST DIDNT 'FEEL RIGHT'.....FINALLY I REALIZED IT WAS THE SHAPE OF THE KEURIG.....TOO MANY CURVES, TOO MANY PROTRUSIONS.....MAN OF MAN BUT THIS IS A CLASSY MACHINE! SLEEK, SILVER, BEAUTIFUL PROFILE -- NOW THAT WE HAVE THE AESTHETICS OUT OF THE WAY LETS TALK BRASS TACKS! SOOOO MANY FEATURES! I LOVE THE OPTION OF 5 CUP SIZES, HOT WATER FEATURE, LARGE RESERVOIR AND THE MY K-CUP -- IT EVEN HAS A HIDDEN PANEL ON THE SIDE TO HOUSE YOUR MY K-CUP --THAT WAY ITS OUT OF SIGHT BUT YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHERE IT IS! THIS MAKES - IN MY OPINION - A MUCH BETTER CUP OF COFFEE THAN ANY KEURIG I HAVE OWNED AS WELL AS IT JUST LOOKS DARNED NICE ON MY COUNTERTOP! I LIKE THIS ONE SO MUCH I BOUGHT A SECOND JUST IN CASE SOMEWHERE FAR, FAR DOWN THE ROAD THE FIRST ONE DIES OUT -- FROM FREQUENT USE!! LOL -- .....DONT WAFFLE ON THIS ONE! BUY IT! September 17, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by absolutely the best coffee maker EVER!!!! My keurig coffee pot quit working, so I bought a Mr. Coffee(keurig) I used it about a week, would never get hot enough and had to put coffee in microwave to get it hot enough. So I really shopped and compared about every pot on the market.. We received the Cusinart about 3 weeks ago and we LOVE it. It has a feature you can set the degree of how hot you want it. It is a very nice looking appliance to have on your counter. The 80 oz. water container is nice. It has the hot water feature for tea etc: There are 5 cup sizes ,and a nice filter to keep the water just right. Overall, this is the BEST coffepot we have ever owned and highly reccommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Over a year and still loving it! In a 2 person household, where coffee is made on the weekends a cup at a time, this Cuisinart is still working like a champ. I use it for iced tea on the weeknights, too (just use regular tea bags, instead of k-cups). The grate can be removed, so that a taller standard drinking glass can fit. I like the removable water reservoir and the fact there is a filter, too. The design gives a polished appearance and does not feel cheap. I do not recommend using the refillable k-cup, however. I haven't been able to get that to work without grounds in my coffee (I am not docking for this, as the product itself is 5 star worthy). Instead, if we want to use coffee other than k-cups, we just use our french press or standard pot. June 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best coffee maker I have ever owned i have owned many coffee makers and a couple single serve ones. I spent a lot of time researching reviews and saw so many negative ones for the Keurigs and saw a few mention the cuisinart one. I read all the reviews for the cuisinart and they were all very positive. I have had it a couple weeks now and I am extremely happy! The quality is good. Very cup is perfect. I love the rinse cycle so if I want hot water or tea it doesn't taste like coffee. It comes with all accessories. It is a bit expensive but I have no regrets. I think if they reduced the price a little they would sell far more! February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than other single serve units I owned other brands and this one is the best one. Large water tank, progamable so it is ready when i wake up. Heats quickly for second person , 3 cup sizes and has a nice design. May 15, 2015

Answer:
I have this machine (love it) if you remove the silver tray there is a black tray underneath (to give you more room for taller cups) it measures 7" .. So you could use a cup/tumbler up to 7" tall..I hope this helps.. For what it is worth I love this Coffee Maker extremely durable..Mine is 4-5 years old and still works perfectly and we use it alot on a daily basis..
