by MrsAldeanOnline 50/50 picks up but i hate using it
1) the hose is TOO short. it's a stretch to clean in my vehicle or behind furniture. you have a 2' reach. you can't pull it or it will break
2) there is a loud humming/whistling noise that started two weeks after purchase. I checked all the parts...no clogs found, so I'm not sure what is causing it
3) dirt accumulates on the outside of the vacuum. I'm having to wipe dust off around the entire outside. no different from other vacuums though
4) emptying the flip-open dirt cup gets to be a mess. the dirt doesn't just slide out. you have to reach in with your hand and pull out. it empties from the bottom. pic include in this review
5) there are several filters which is nice. you can pull out, wash and air dry.
6) long cord so it reached nearly everywhere without having to constantly unplug and find another outlet.
7) decent price for the product
8) suction is good- hopefully it remains that way

Bought this in December '14 to replace a vac that had no attachments. The design is not that great, the power switch is not in an intuitive place--not near the top handle, not on the bottom near the release for the brushroll, its on the same column midway down between there the cord is stored and the hose is wrapped around. The hose is not long enough, even with the extensions to even reach the window sills and the tension in the hose makes it awkward to handle. Took more than a few passes to pick up regular dust/debris found on the rug, my old vac (of a different brand) did better than that. Stuck with the vacuum because of the attachments but about a month ago, I started having issues with the brushroll. It makes a squeaky sound, skips, and it doesn't brush the rug any kind of way. I wish I could get my money back. I wouldn't even give this to a person who needs a vacuum cleaner.
NOTE: it asks what surface I use the vacuum on, I have a combination of laminate floors, an area rug, and a couple of pieces of fabric covered furniture.

I was looking for an easy to maneuver vacuum. The reviews were helpful. I was pleased by the suction power. It was very satisfying to see what this Hoover wind tunnel picked up! Light enough that my shoulder wasn't in pain. Easy to switch to the attachments. Easy to dump the debris. Thumbs up.

I moved into a house recently and needed something that would pick up a LOT of dirt and pet hair. This has exceeded my expectations.

Really impressed with this Hoover vacuum from JCP. Picks up everything, large or small, much better than any other vacuum ive owned. lightweight and maneuverable...I like everything about it, and will probably buy another one again. Ive already bought one for my grown kids in fact/

I've used Hoover vacuums my whole life, as did my mother and grandmothers. I had two canisters, both ran wonderfully for over 20 years. I finally had to replace my last one. Decided on this upright. WHAT A MISTAKE!! I'm experiencing a lot of what other reviewers have stated: poor suction, dirt blowing out when removing the hose, turning itself off, etc... I have thoroughly read the instruction manual multiple times, made sure there wasn't any clogs, the filter has been cleaned.......still disappointed. I have to vacuum the same spot numerous times, and it just blows things around on my hardwood, with the dial set correctly.
I regret not buying another bagged canister. The bagless vacuum is extremely messy to me. I would just rather pull out a bag and replace with a new one. Also, the upright is not real great with the stairs in my home.
I've always been drawn toward the Hoover brand, but I may be rethinking that now. If this vacuum were a car, it would definitely fall under the lemon law.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Berthanne Wind Tunnel Vs. Dyson
I received my Wind Tunnel Hoover and used it immediately. We have several cats, and I have no fondness for car hair. We bought a Dyson Animal a few years ago, and had been satisfied with it until recently, when it seemed to leave hair behind. The Wind Tunnel does a decent job with our carpets, and the tools are easier to use than the Dyson's. Dyson cost $300 more.
