It heats quickly and evenly. Perfect to saute mushrooms in butter. Great for omelettes for two. Cleans easily after a short soak in soapy water. Stains disappear with a little Bar Keepers Friend powder.

I've been a long time user of Calphalon cookware but never their stainless cookware. The TriPly is great for cooking and easy to care for. Probably the best cookware I've used. Even heat distribution is freak for deglazing and making sauces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DAVwife Calaphon omlet pan meets expectations.
Previously I bought a 10" pan because we have a new glass top range. It doesn't scratch the surface of the range at all. However the underside of the pan is beginning to turn a coppery color. I don't know if this will be a problem in the future or not.

My wife and I own an 8" classic Farberware fry pan that is part of a set purchased when we got married in 1966. From apparent less than ideal use the bottom is slightly warped and my three special omelets a week always stick to the bottom of the pan. Excellent luck replacing a broken 10" Farberware fry pan in that same set with a Calphalon Tri-Ply 10" Fry Pan led me to purchase the Tri-Ply Stainless Steel 8" Omelette Pan - Sleeved. Farberware cookware is no longer all aluminum clad. I had no interest in an aluminum slug on the bottom of the fry pan. The Calphalon Tri-Ply piece is essentially my personal omelet pan every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It will be my omelet pan for my remaining days (I presume). It is quality at a reasonable price.

I'm trying to move away from non-stick coated pans so I had high hopes for this pan after reading reviews, but I was very disappointed after using it once. I made a grilled cheese sandwich in it, following instructions to preheat the pan (over med. heat) before putting butter in it.I lightly buttered the bread and cooked the sandwich, which burned within 2 minutes, even tho it was only heated over medium heat.Also, the pan developed brown stains over the bottom which wouldn't come off with soaking in hot ssoapy water for hours. I finally had to use bar keepers friend and a plastic scrubber to remove the stains.

Pricey. Yes but trying Calphalon has introduced me to a whole new world of cooking. It has made time in the kitchen much more enjoyable with it's truly refined way of doing things. I had no idea pots and pans could make such a difference in outcome and the added control could make a real cook out of me. By the way I was a caveman in the kitchen and my only watching of a cooking show has been Dan Ackroyd's impression of Julia Childs.
