Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality I am extremely pleased with my pots. I love them. Great quality and above the top value. August 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cooking is Essential I recently purchased this set for my mom for mothers day. I so can't wait to bless her with this gift. First off what a great price. The set looks really great. The stainless steel has a great finish to it. In terms of cooking with set I have not. That will be for mommy to try as it is her gift. Based on the previous reviews that should not be a problem at all. April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by cooks pot belly stainless steel pans i took my time and shopped around. i was interested in a high quality economic set. i am very impressed with the quality and weight. it has character taking on the pot belly style. the handles are also heavy weight and sturdy with vents. even the sizes are perfect! i definitely would recommend cooks pot belly stainless steel pans! cook on:) April 9, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by A purchase I regret I purchased this set a week ago because I thought stainless steel meant, you know, it didn't stain easily. And that they were generally easy to clean. My experience so far: I washed all the pots and pans as soon as I took them out of the box, and dried them. I boiled some eggs, and the bottom of the inside of the pot became discolored. I popped some popcorn - burned a little of it - and the bottom of the inside and outside of the pot become discolored, and the small bits of burned popcorn won't come off, even with scrubbing. I haven't tried steel wool yet since I don't have any in the house - our previous pots and pans were coated and we couldn't use steel wool on them. I cooked an omelet in a pan, using olive oil so it wouldn't stick, and the pan now as a sticky film that won't come off. None of these things were cooked at full heat - they were cooked at medium to medium high heat. If this had just happened to one pot or pan then okay - quality control can't catch everything. But three out of three? I wish I'd kept my old pots and pans so I could return these. September 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is an AWESOME set pots. I can say that we have had our set now going on 18 years. They still look the same as day 1. Right now I am purchasing 2 sets. 1 for my sister in Tennessee and the other for my niece and her husband. I know they will love them as much as we have. March 7, 2016

Answer:
We have two sets... they do work on induction and I have had no problems all temps.. we have also accidently left them going because induction is easy to forget its on sometimes... blackened pans but bar keeper's friend did the trick... dishwasher ruins the finish... makes me question if these loose thier stainless coating after time and leave aluminum exposed... they also pit after time and I use them heavily.

Answer:
I would say less than 5 lbs. The picture is a bit misleading if you don't read the fine print. For example, the large soup pot is rather small. But it's great as a starter kit...though I strongly suggest you also purchase silicone sleeves as the handles get very hot vs. a more expensive brand such as Calphalon.
