This curtain blocks out the sun amazingly and also helps keep the cold air from outside out and the warm heater in!! I totally recommend

Rated 3 out of 5 by Autumn7106 Substandard Workmanship
The Eclipse™ Abby Grommet-Top Blackout Curtain Panel with Thermalayer was average at best. The most significant dissatisfaction came from the way the panels flare out at the bottom rather than being parallel with the floor. The center of the pannel is closest to the floor with each end being a significant couple of inches shorter. This effect makes the panels appear to flare out. This issue is recurring as I'd already bought a pair in navy three years ago. I kept the navy pair as the panels fall behind a bed and are not visible. The new pair was returned. Additionally, I should note that the measurements of the panels assume that the panel is fully extended. Keep in mind that because of the way gromments work, the panel actually does extend fully. The curtains are sturdy and thick, making them truly "black out" the light. However, alltogether, the product was substandard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by deco2love Love these blackout curtains.
These blackout curtains were exactly what I've been looking for. The color was perfect (more like eggplant) a deep purple so I'm thrilled.
They were even lined unlike some other blackout curtains I've purchased elsewhere.
They feel so expensive and look great hanging. Nice weight to them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShoppingForHome Exactly what I wanted
These curtains were exactly what I wanted to block out evening sun from our kitchen window for when we're having dinner. They came well packaged and so easy to hang with the dryer feature to smooth out any wrinkles. They hang so easily with the grommets. I'm not sure how to rank durability since I've only had them a month but they appear to be sturdy. Because they are sturdy they are heavier than the curtains I replaced which is causing a slight bow in my extra wide curtain rod above my patio door. The center support would help but would cause the curtain to not open all the way. I think it will be fine, but I do notice a slight bowing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LJAM1 Chemical Smell
These curtains are very nice quality, block the light well, and are very pretty. However, the backing has a fairly strong chemical smell. I've had them for six weeks, I washed them once, and hung them outside in the garage for a couple of weeks before moving them inside, but the smell is still there. I tried Febreze fabric refresher, but that didn't get rid of it either. It smells a little bit like road tar. I'm chemically sensitive, and it hasn't made me sick, but I always sleep with the window open. I can definitely still smell it every time I go into the room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by VAKC ALMOST blackout
I have purchased many blackout curtains and always find the Eclipse line is the best for blackout. I was looking for grey curtains for my guest bedroom and purchased 6 different sets from JCPenney to compare color and performance. These curtains were probably 95% blackout if the window shades were closed. The smoke color almost has a green hue to it. The pattern is pretty and adds an expensive look to it. Also, the liner is white. If you are looking for mostly blackout curtains with a little bit of personality, these are probably them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by del2014 Wonderful product!
These curtains are just what we needed. We used them to cover an older bay window that leaks cold air in, but no more, thanks to these panels. They did exactly what the description said...they keep the cold air out and keep our room completely dark as promised.
I only wished I had known that they have a little bit of a satin shade to them, this was not mentioned in the description.
