Rated 5 out of 5 by Great These blinds are super easy to move up and down and the white looks nice with multiple kinds of curtains. They are a little difficult to snap in, but being short probably attributed to that. May 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy Install The shade clicks into the metal brackets from the back. It took a couple tries the first time, by the time I got to the 3rd one it went very quick. February 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great blinds. I got these blinds to reduce the amount of sunlight streaming into our sunroom. These do exactly as advertised, reducing the intense rays while allowing a soft filter of the light. They were pretty easy to install, taking us about 30 minutes to gather the tools, mark, drill and hang two blinds. September 19, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Long term product review I am writing this review after having the shades for 1.5 years. They were easy to install and performed their job. Initially, I would give them a 5 star review. However, after 1.5 years, the shades are breaking apart in the middle of the shade. In a room that we never raise or lower them. So, the quality is terrible. JCP is my standby for all curtains, so I am really disappointed in this product. I have them installed in 5 other Windows, so I really hope they don't start doing the same thing. I'd love to know what the warranty is...I feel like they should last longer! September 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product was easy to install My cellular shades look great in my new townhouse. September 20, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by good product; but brackets too flimsy good product;easy to install, but the brackets are too flimsy. easy to use and filters light well. September 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great shades We already bought two of these shades for one bedroom, and liked them so much that we bought 2 more for another bedroom. They look great, provide privacy and a soft filtered light, and go up and down easily. I love that they are cordless. The price is reasonable. I took a star off because it is somewhat difficult to get the shade onto the brackets. Eventually we got them on, but it takes many tries and is not that easy to do, although we did follow the directions. Still highly recommend them!. September 12, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Blinds are very thin and flimsy I bought these hoping they would be better at blocking out light than traditional mini blinds, I even got the grey color thinking that would be more effective than white, but no such luck. The material the blinds themselves are made out of is very thin, more like paper than fabric, so it did not do an adequate job of blocking the light. Additionally the brackets used for installation are very questionable, you screw the bracket into the wall then just "click" the blind it. It does not feel very secure and the blinds fell out when I was adjusting them. I returned them. August 29, 2016

Answer:
No, you can't shorten it, but our window is only 36 inches long and the shade works great because it stays where you stop it. It just takes a gentle tug or lift to get the shade positioned, and none of the "extra" even shows, unless you pulled it down past the bottom of your window.

Answer:
I think that unless you get the custom shades, you can't shorten them. But we have windows that were 54" long and we just got the 64" shades. You just lift them with your hand, and they stay there. It's not noticeable at all. That's what I love about these shades. They are durable and they will stay right where you lift them to.

Answer:
No, they can not be shortened. You will just have the extra 10" laying flat against the bottom rail, unextended. It looks perfectly OK to my eye.

Answer:
You don't even need to shorten these. The extra 10" of blind is hardly noticeable. The whole 64" worth of blinds is only about 1 1/4" when totally raised!

The shade hardware mounts inside, to the top of the frame. It is a simple 2 step process with two screws. The shades then snap in place.

Answer:
Yes, that is what I did and it worked perfectly. Just space the mounting hardware evenly for good support and have a cordless drill to drill pilot holes and help install the screws.

Answer:
I just installed eight of these and yes they can be mounted on a vertical or horizontal surface. They come with small stainless steel brackets with screw holes for both types of mounting. The top rail of the blinds snaps into the brackets. They come with screws as well. The brackets are pretty much invisible once the blinds are mounted.
