Rated 4 out of 5 by Thread count is a little low. Not as durable as I would have liked. 2 months ago I purchased the ivory colored panels which does brighten up the room. They do look very nice. I don't know how durable they are as I have not washed them yet and they are only 2 months old. I am unimpressed with the thread count / weight of them. I expected a heavier material. They are very light weight. I did have to pull out my steamer to get the wrinkles out when I put them up. Due to the fact that they are light weight, they were easy to hang and to steam out the wrinkles. We often open up our windows during these hot summer months. I hope they can handle the normal wear and tear of summer breezes and the dust that is associated with them and the need to wash them in a year or so. I am concerned about that. July 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent thermal & darkening The 4 panels I ordered are for the afternoon sunny side of the house. They are excellent at lowering the temperature and darkening the room. Three of the four panels each had one slight flaw in the main fabric (not the liner), but the weight quality of the material is excellent. As I bought them on sale, I decided not to have them exchanged. August 13, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Material Good value, but 3 of the 4 items were correct but 1 was different color than the other 3. Possibly different color dye lot. August 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by nice heavy curtain that looks nice hanging up. The curtains came quickly, and after I put them up I was very pleased with the purchase August 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product. Easy care and hangs very nicely. Easy to iron out the wrinkles and looks great on the window. August 8, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jenner Cotton Grommet-Top Thermal Curtain The Jenner Thermal curtains are very nice and I believe that they would make a difference in the temperature of a room, which I really cared about, but I did not keep them. I have lots of glass to cover. I ordered 20 panels and only opened one of those. Before ordering, I read the description which sounded to me like they had TWO separate linings. They do not. It is one lining with a rubber-like backing. They were very creased and wrinkled and I just felt like they were too stiff for my taste. Also the fabric is very plain without much texture. I exchanged the panels for the softer, more textured Quinn style, even though it is rated as "energy efficient" rather than thermal. Unfortunately I now find out that the Quinn is on back order, so I have to wait till about the middle of Feb. for my curtains. If you want a quality thermal curtain in a very simple style, I think the Jenner would be great for you. They just weren't what I had in mind. January 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by This product does the job. Great curtains. I thought they would be a bit thicker and more room darkening, but they are doing a sufficient job in our 100 degree heat. June 29, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Almost impossible to iron out the wrinkles More casual than I had hoped for. Also, the wrinkles were almost impossible to iron out. The lining was nice, but overall the curtains weren't right for me. Will return. June 17, 2016

Answer:
These are only 40 inches wide, while other curtains are 50 inches wide. You pay for each panel. The picture shows at least 2 panels (one on each side of the curtain). You may want to buy more than 2 panels though, if you have a wide window, to give a fuller appearance. Otherwise they appear limp and not full.

Answer:
The picture shown above has two panels-one on each side of the window. I bought 4 panels to cover my sliding glass door leading to my deck. Nicely made as all JC Penney curtains.

Answer:
Yes. It is half the curtain. I bought 4 to cover my sliding glass door. They are beautifully made. I connected them together using small binder clips. Of course I did it from the back so they don't show. Now I can take the clips off for easier cleaning or use the curtains on another window. The thermal backing is very useful. I hope this is helpful

Answer:
To answer your question - make sure to measure the width of your window and then multiply that number by either 2 or 3. If you have a window that is 40" wide you would need at least 2 panels to cover the window. So I guess what I am trying to say is that Yes - a panel is half of the curtain. I have a large window in my living room that is 80" wide and I have 4 panels to be able to close the curtains and cover the entire window.

Are the white colored ones room darkening or blackout? Suitable for an infant trying to sleep during the day?

Answer:
These curtains prevent direct sunlight from entering the room, but they let lots of diffuse light in. The white/cream colors will not make a room dim enough for anyone to sleep, but they will keep the heat out from the summer sun. If you want to make the room dark enough for a baby to sleep in, you should choose a dark color such as brown.
