Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorly made I waited anxiously for these drapes for my new home. When they arrived, I was excited to see that they were going to go really well with the colors and furniture in my room. Imagine my dismay when I hung the first pair and saw that one of the panels were a good 2 inches shorter than the other. I decided to hang the others and see how they were. I figured I could take back the bad pair. Well, one of the other panels was hemmed crookedly. It met just fine in the middle, but was at least three inches shorter on the other side. I loved the fabric, the color, and even the color of the grommets, but it was obvious I had two of the three pairs that needed to be replaced. So, I went on-line to order their replacements, only to discover they were out of stock. I had to order something completely different (they haven't arrived yet, so I hope I will love them, too). I took these defective curtains to the store last night, and I was so sad to have to do that. They were perfect, except for being imperfect, and I wasn't about to pay more money to have them fixed--these were not cheap!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware of incorrect length measurements I have placed at least 10 orders trying to purchase curtains for my home, which has turned into a 2-3 month exhausting endeavor. After continuously trying to get the Studio Movement Grommet curtains, and then these curtains, I just can't seem to get 2, much less 4, that are the proper lengths from JCP. I needed 84", 72" and 96" throughout my home and they've been 81", 83", 71", 93", 94"....all much too short. I don't mind some imperfections, but I need them to be consistent lengths, and to at least get near the floor...while these drapes had a nice texture, weight, and a lining (all of what I was looking for in a drape), I couldn't seem to get consistent lengths. And considering the cost, quality should have been the least of my worries. I have always purchased drapes at JCP, so I am very dissappointed in the quality I have received. Customer service has been great considering the exchanges, returns, and ordering, but after all this trouble, I am giving up on drapes at JCP and going elsewhere to get drapes that are proper lengths and match the length stated on the package. It wouldn't be an issue if I was pooling the drapes, but I wanted these grommet curtains for the easy open/close and wanted them floor length, but not pooled, hence the need for the length to be consistent and accurate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 3rd Time is a Charm These curtains are made well and heavyweight, but are not completely black-out. With the blinds I already have on the windows, they help to reduce the light quite significantly (probably 85% with direct sunlight). I will caution whoever purchases these curtains though to measure the length upon arrival. I ordered two panels, which were supposed to be 63" in length each. One came just fine, but the other was only 61". I took it back to the store, and they reordered it for me. The second time the panel that arrived was only 62" in length. I once again took that panel back, had it reordered and finally received a panel that was the correct length. Although it was quite a hassle to keep returning and reordering, the associates at the store were very friendly and helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful, Heavy -- But the 84" Panels are 3" Short I saw these in the store and bought them because they look so much better than all of the other thermal/blackouts. The color is great, the material is fantastic-looking, and the metal on the grommets looks nice, too. (Others offered here have a weird design.) I hung the 84" panels--replacing another set of 84" panels--and they are WAY short. I busted out the tape measure and they're only 81" long. That obviously looks ridiculous so I'm going to have to pack 'em back up and return them. Oddly enough, the 56" panels seem to be the right size!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Curtains are not the same length I ordered 6 panels and 3 of the panels were 3-4 inches too short. I ordered the 50x72 grommet panels. I sent the panels back and reordered and still had the same problem. I went to the store and showed the drapery sales person. She marked the curtain defective. I reordered and the new curtain still had the same problem. I am extremely frustrated as I wanted to have curtains ready by Thanksgiving -- now that will not happen. I am scared to send this curtain back for the 3rd time as it looks like I keep getting the curtains that are too short. I am almost to the point of returning all the rods and curtains and go somewhere else. I have 6 new windows I need to buy curtains for and I will not be going to JCP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Curtains, Great Value! This is my fourth purchase of these curtains. I have outfitted a total of 15 windows in my homes with the MarthaWindow Basketweave Curtain Panels. I have used them in my home in Las Vegas and also in Texas. These curtains steam out easily and look great! The curtains are of exceptional quality. They are perfect for keeping the light out for late sleepers or to dim the bright Las Vegas sunshine. The MarthaWindow curtains also keep the heat/cold out and I can definitely feel a difference in the room temperature when I close them for the night. I just bought another 4 sets of these curtains for my 1902 log cabin. With so many colors to choose from I think the MarthaWindow Basketweave curtains will add a wonderful rustic touch to the rooms and keep the heat in and the winter cold out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from heavy lined natural looking panels These are a nice panel similar to the old hopsacking fabric. They are very wrinkly and is hard to get the wrinkles out-a steamer may be the best option. The grommets are a flat silver color and a darker oil rubbed bronze or brown grommet would be preferred. The Linden Street single curtain rod in pewter would go well I think. It would be helpful if Penneys stated which curtain rods matched which grommets for on-line shoppers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am so impressed with the quality at a great price! I was so nervous about ordering drapes on line without actually seeing them first, but these are excellent. They are lined and heavy so they hang beautifully and the wrinkles from being folded in packages pressed out easily. I hung them in my living room and dining room. Thank you JC Penneys and Martha Stewart for helping me warm up those living areas without breaking the bank!

What color are the grommets for the linen color of MarthaWindow Fairmount Basketweave?

Asked by: cindy
A silvery gray metal, I think officially considered brushed nickle. Not shiny like chrome.

Size off?

I just bought these in 84" length and hung them up but they seem about 4 inches shorter than another brand I had on my windows. Has anyone else noticed this?
Asked by: Claire
I purchased the 95 in and they were true to size.

Curtain Care: Ironing and Machine Washing?

Does anyone have experience ironing these to remove wrinkles (especially right out of the package)? The packaging says that these curtains are machine washable. Does anyone have experience with how well these wash up? Do they fade, shrink, or wrinkle? Thank you!
Asked by: MSPMom
These need ironing or steaming. I had mine shrink in the dryer, as well as not being the designated length.
