Rated 5 out of 5 by These curtains have a lustrous shine to them which is perfect Recently painted the kitchen a light gray to go with the white cabinets and I needed new curtains. These curtains were just what I needed - not too much but just enough coverage. September 2, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by great valance My wall color is a light gold that many builders use, and the ivory color curtain just matched it. Two valances were perfect for my single-pane window in my eat-in kitchen--just enough to add some pizzazz but not overwhelming. February 9, 2016

Answer:
one valance would be great. the drop to form a peak at the center. they would block any view or sunlight. I used 3 and my windows were only 33 inches wide. using 3 gave it a great cascade effect. but 1 would do the job. using 3 gave it a much more rich effect...

Answer:
The valance is designed to cover the top section of the window only. So you will want to measure the width of the window. This style is available in a 52" width. The length will be 38" and will start from the top of the window and flow down so it covers the top section only, just as pictured. For more information on measuring, please visit our helpful window guide here:

Answer:
I would recommend 5-7. I went with an odd number because I liked the way 3 below and 4 on top looked. My window was about the same size. I personally like the full look so that is why I went with 7. If you don't want it to look very full, I say 5 or 6.
