This is so much better than my old Teflon skillets. It still does not sick but cooks evenly on an electric stove.

I love the look of the pan and the fact that it is heavy and will never warp however, this pan needs seasoned. I cooked without seasoning and everything sticks badly. Cleans up ok after soaking with soapy water and then I would lightly coat with olive oil for storing but everything sticks. It is in the oven now seasoning so I hope this helps. Also, after the first handwash it lightly tapped on the kitchen sink and some of the red enamel has already chipped off.

Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong size. I wanted a 12" and accidentally ordered a 10". Upon opening the box, it seemed like a very sturdy pan. Looking forward to the 12".

This pan is a beauty. Nicest cast iron pan I've ever seen. I broke it in by cooking a T-Bone steak in it, came out perfect, and clean up was easy. I was expecting a pan with raw cast iron interior, but was pleasently surprised to find out the interior is a black matt porcelan finish, which means, I don't have to worry about seasoning this pan. My other 10" Calphalon lids fit perfectly with it. I also ordered a handle mitt from Amazon to keep myself from burning myself. I'm very happy with the pan !! Like I said, it's a beauty !!

This is the pan that I use if I am cooking steaks on the stove. I let it get very hot and when I put the steaks in they sizzle and brown so quickly that the juices are held captive. This is the only way that my family will let me cook steak at home. I love these pans.
