This is exactly what I was looking for! I had been wanting a pasta pot for quite some time and then this one finally came around at a great price. The steamer basket is a great bonus. It is heavier than what I thought which is a good thing. Look forward to using it for years to come.

Love the 8qt multi cook pot---it has soooo many functions---such
as cooking pasta, steaming veggies, making home made soups.
What I like about cooking pasta is the drainer can be lifted out of the boiling water no more getting steam burns from draining boiling water off the pasta.
I would recommend it to any one needing a multi purpose cooking pt.

Excellent for steaming vegetables which preserves vitamins and nutrients, superb for greater health cosets and results. You're even able to steam seafoods and many other dishes !

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jack Lid Does Not Have a Vent Hole
Great set, except the lid does not have a vent hole. Whenever you steam, be prepared to hear the lid rattling, rattling. Mistake in design.

I do a lot of Italian cooking and this is the best pasta cooker I have ever used. Can hold the pasta, enough for 6-8 servings, and when its done, just lift the inner pan out. No having to drain the cooking water. As for lobsters - they've met their match. Rather than boil, I steam them. Use the smaller inset for steaming veggies. They keep their color and are never waterlogged. Simply love it.

Driving to a catering gig, the car was full so we placed our 8 qt. pot on the roof of the car for one of us to grab. Ten minutes later, four miles from our house, we heard a ka-chunk, ka-chunk-ka-chunk-a noise. When I looked in the rearview mirror, the pot was in the ditch and the glass cover was spinning, unharmed, in the middle of the road. The pot survived with just a small dent in the bottom, and had half of the food still in it. We later used this food, with no visible tar bits in it, at our catering event. Just kidding... We highly recommend this product- it is now our favorite pot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FrankS Great All-in-one pot
I have been using this pot for the past 5 years-- for soup, for steaming, for cooking pasta, you name it. Good heat distribution and easy clen-up; won't need to buy another one for many years
