Rated 1 out of 5 by Jamaal80 This fan is designed to FAIL
I have purchased several Vornado products over the years they are usually durable and well made. This tower fan though along with its compact and larger sized models make a heck of a lot of noise and it varies on the squeaks and humming rarely it operates with a light hum as it should but that's RARLEY. The design doesn't allow for it to be cleaned and once dust starts building up the fan is less efficient and more noises occur. Vornado go back to your roots and build products we love and will happily own like the 5 speed premium whole room circulator with easy to clean blades. Us consumers don't want to have to buy a new fan every season. I have returned the tower fans back to the store for a refund and strongly advise against this purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MLJJLJ Effective but LOUD!
I have purchased numerous Vornado products over the years, both personally and for my office staff. I purchased this heater in February 2014 after another Vornado finally gave up after years. This worked quietly for a short time but now it is extremely loud and rattles. I love all of my Vornado's and highly recommend them to friends and family and this is the first time that I have had a problem. I am so disappointed.

I bought the Vornado tower circulator almost one year ago and it has already become unusable. Lately, about once every 45 seconds, the fan starts making this loud obnoxious noise, like the motor is rubbing against something, and it is so loud it wakes you from your sleep. The fan never left the original spot it was placed when purchased, and it was taken care of, never dropped, etc. I am very disappointed by the product, as I had bought Vornado products before and never had any issues. Anyways, the fan was purchased to keep the room cool, but because of the unbelievable noise it now creates it will not be keeping me cool at night anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BuyAnotherFan STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.
This air circulator does not move any air. Anywhere. I plugged it in upon receiving it, and it does not work at all. The lights turns on, the remote control works, but the fan only makes a split second sound as if it wants to turn on, but it does not. This is very disappointing. Stay far away from this product. You are better off opening your windows if you want some air circulation. This product does not even deserve a star, but that is not an option so it gets only one star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TomC Meets our needs at the cabin
We have a wall heater in a one room cabin. Always were left with a warm to cool gradient from one end of the room to the other . Heater would go on and off with resultant temperature swings. Now with this circulating fan we have uniform temperature throughout the cabin. I run the Vornado on low and not blowing on anyone. And the heater runs less frequently due to no temperature swings. Very pleased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JcPenney8 This fan was horrible!
I had seen a model like the fan I purchased at another store. It was great but I decided to purchase this one . I felt it would do a great job. One thing, it did not oscillate and did not cool the entire area as it said it would. I had it less than two weeks and just stopped working. The light was on as if it were working but nothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bsygrrrl LOVE IT!
I have never owned a Vornado product. I was immediately drawn in by the package design, and then, the information about why Vornado fans are different than other fans. My fan works like a dream! Its quiet at every level, I love the circular design of the remote control, its beautiful and goes with my black furniture, and most importantly, it keeps my living room at the perfect temperature. I couldn't be happier.
