Rated 5 out of 5 by Great window blinds Bought 2 sets of the window blind after receiving a sample of the blind after requesting it. Glad I requested a sample because I changed my mind about the color I wanted to use. Blinds are true to size, easy to install and look and work great. The night time feature works well. I would recommend waiting for a sale they are a little pricy but well worth it. The picture I attached has the top half in the let the light in mod and the bottom half is in the darkening mood, they can also be opened to let in air. July 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shades! I purchased these shades to replace the cellular (non-blackout) shades that I've had for 7 years. I absolutely loved those & they still work perfectly, just needed a "cooler" toned color. I ordered the bright white and rockefeller gray, but decided (before I opened them) to go with the bright white. While they are absolutely perfect for the color scheme of my room, BEWARE that they are not really bright white because you can see the blackout material through the gauziness of the shade giving it a pale grey tint. They do really well blacking out the daylight though. All in all an absolutely great product for a great price! September 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect blind! This blind is exactly what I was looking for to keep the light out of my son's room in the early morning hours! My husband installed in a few minutes & it looks terrific! September 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product was as described The shades were easy to put up. Looked exactly as described as blackout cordless shades. The cordless feature is a big plus, no hanging cords to worry about. September 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great blinds, with one flaw I would have given this a 5 star except one major flaw. It took me about an extra 10-15 minutes per blind to get the bracket inserted into the blind. It was very difficult and almost broke them on trying to squeeze into the tight metal bracket fitting. Who ever engineered this bracket, please consider a new design. September 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I was impressed with JCPs price, 3 day delivery at the local store and ease of installation. These blinds really do block the intense heat coming through my West-facing windows and will pay for themselves quickly, plus they are easy to raise and lower. Very impressed and I'm very picky! September 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful shade...horrible brackets We really like the quality of the shade itself, but trying to get the top of the shade to click into the brackets was extremely difficult and frustrating. My husband was so ready to ship the product back, but I looked at the reviews and got a few hints on how to make it work. He did loosen the screws a bit, as was suggested by one of the reviews, but it still didn't work. The final thing that helped us get it hooked to the back of the bracket, was that my husband hooked it to the front bracket, held the top of the shade in place, and used the palm of his hand to hit the bottom of the shade on the right side and then on the left and it finally clicked in on both brackets. The brackets could really use some improvement so customers do not go through so much aggravation trying to install the shades. July 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Product was received as advertised. Product was delivered in a timely manner and there were no surprises with the quality of the product. Easily installed and functioned as expected. Would recommend this product to others. September 6, 2016

Since there are no cords yes you have to hold on to the bottom of the shade to raise & lower it. I installed them without my husband very simple. I love mine so far.

I have 13 of these shades, and I just love them. I chose not to have the ones that scroll down from the top. I have the pull down ones, and they are very easy to use and have stayed as good as new since the day I purchased them.

Answer:
You pull them down from the top only. unfortunately you have to actually grab the shade itself to close or open. There is no pull like I have had on other shades I have ordered.I know on custom blinds they make ones that can open from either the top or bottom. These are great in that there is no light let in. On a sunny morning you would never know it was sunny out!

I open my blackout cordless shades from the bottom, as I always have with shades in the past. I have never used the top method and would find it awkward and cumbersome. I am delighted with the ease and function of these shades and would purchase again.

Answer:
Unless you purchased the ones that open from the middle, they open down with a very light touch. The bottom has a stable solid piece that you just gently grasp and pull down with very little effort. It takes barely any effort to put them back up. They adjust easily to open or close to whatever height you choose. No cords to worry about! Think of an accordion. They are like that more or less and you just open them as much as you like.

Answer:
The blinds are 1 /12 inches deep. The mounting hardware has two holes for screws in roughly the middle of it, (one hole at 1 inch, and one hole at 1 1/4 inch) . It is POSSIBLE to mount the blinds using only the hole at the 1 inch mark to screw in the mounting hardware, and being VERY careful to attach the blinds into it. Once you had that part done, you'd be fine for regular use, except of course, the blinds would NOT be flush (which you already know).

Measuring 27x36
my windows for inside mount are 27 1/2 ". What size should I order. I think the 27 might be too small from the other answers posted here, but I believe the 29 will be too big ? Any suggestions ?

Answer:
With these blinds, NEVER buy them assuming you will be able to fit a size bigger inside the dimensions. The blinds are measured accurately. The 27 inch blinds for a 27 1/2 inch window INSIDE mount should be about perfect. Always double measure your own window just to be sure, top AND bottom of the inside of the window frame!

Answer:
When measuring for inside mounts, we ask that you measure down to the nearest 1/8. 27" W would be slightly smaller, but it could work. There will be a gap. If you would like the perfect fit, we suggest ordering cut to width shades.

Answer:
You should order the 27" - it would give you a slightly bigger gap where the light comes through but you can easily fill that in by adding a piece of wood or something else to the side walls to make the opening smaller - you will still be able to open the window if you have windows pull open upwards. I will do it with 2 of my windows in order to use these shades. I have my whole house done with them and I looooove them.

You can, just keep in mind you will have some extra shade material. We do offer custom shades, which I have linked below. These shades are made specific for your window. I have also linked a shade similar to this one that is custom. I hope this helps!

Answer:
It depends on how you want to mount them. If you want them on the inside of the frame, you must order them smaller, but you will then have daylight showing around the edges. If you hang them on the wall, you will have good coverage of your window, but decide if you will be using some other window treatment (drapes or curtains) & figure out where you will place the brackets to properly hang them.

I think there's another shade that can be cut to size? I would wait until that goes on sale and cut it to your size. Mine were 32 1/8-1/4 and they fit perfectly. If you need the blackout, probably neither size will work for you.

Answer:
I am verifying that you are measuring the INSIDE width of your window? The 32" shade would leave a 3/4" gap on each side and the 34" would be too wide. If you don't mind the gap, order the 32", otherwise, you would need to order a custom width.

Answer:
That depends on where your measurement is on the window. Is it for an inside mount or outside on the trim? If it's inside and you want darkness, the 32 will be too short and light will filter around the edges. I would consider the 34. Ours are mounted on the outside. It remains dark enough to sleep during the day. We don't have any curtains, but a tier across the top. If you add any curtain that covers the sides - you'll have near total darkness. These shades are awesome! You will love them.
