This blanket reminds me of bear hide: very heavy and hot. The control cords are not long enough and are constantly being pulled off our bed's side tables. Set up instructions were a bit confusing. On the plus side, the temp variations seem to be very good and quiet (no clicking from the controls as the temp fluctuates).

MUCH thicker and plusher than I expected. Unfortunately I've had to wash this blanket 3 times already in the last month (dog) and it's holding up extremely well. I was able to take an extra blanket off the bed as this is almost double the thickness of any other blanket I've got. It's so thick and plush. Easy to use, pre-heat is awesome, though I end up using the lowest setting. The wires are nearly impossible to notice. GREAT size, quite generous in the size. I bought another brand at the same time to compare, and sent the other one back. This is the best electric blanket i've ever owned and I've used them all of my life....on ALL of my beds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MsBeth Super cozy!
Our previous Sunbeam electric blanket was 10 years old, wearing out, and reaching the point of possible electrical safety issues. So we were happy to find this version had excellent ratings, and bought the chocolate-brown version. The wires are less obvious than in any electric blanket I've known, the fabric is very attractive and extremely soft & comfortable. The controls work well and are easy to figure out--and the blanket itself is so warm I don't often need to turn on the electricity. When I do, level 4 is quite warm! We got an excellent value on this blanket due to a combination of sale and coupon, but even for additional money it would have been a good deal.

This blanket has a high loft, is thick, soft and warm even before you turn it on! With the pre-heat (quick) feature, there's no need to turn it on early in the evening to get it warm. I have arthritis, and so turn it up to high again before getting out of bed in the morning, then get up feeling cozy-warm, comfortable, read to go! The color is rich, the blanket perfect.

So we had been saying for a while we needed a heated blanket. This is the one we finally got. It was perfect timing because the heat was not working properly in our home and it was winter. I'm cold blooded and hubby is warm blooded. Even he was cold. It came a week ahead of arrival time. It has a gauge on both sides so we can set our own temperature. You can preset it as well. So far so good.

I love everything about this blanket except the fabric and construction of the blanket itself. It doesn't have a satin binding like older style blankets and the top tends to bunch up under my chin. I love the even warmth, the controls, the preheat feature, and having only one cord to plug into the bottom of the blanket. I bought and returned 4 other blankets before finding this one. I prefer the old style acrylic/polyester blankets with the satin bindings that have the wires woven into the blanket. But manufacturers don't seem to be making them, so this Sunbeam is, I believe, the best on today's market.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WarmCozy1 Dual control blanket. One side does not work.
I was so disappointed when I received this dual control blanket and only one side was heating. I need an electric blanket for the cold "this winter" so I have been using it as is. Not a very good time to send it back and wait for a replacement. I would think that for the price it should have been a reliable product right from the start. Unfortunately, it was not. I will see If I can get the control repaired or replaced once the winter cold is over.

So soft and luxurious. Very even heating, no hot spots. Well worth the extra cost.
