Rated 4 out of 5 by from WP-100 Counter Top Model Overall, a good device that certainly makes the gums firmer and heathier. The standard Jet Tip works fine, just as it always has, probably for over 30 years by now. The other included tips are questionable, the toothbrush tip, which looks, on the carton, like it spins does not spin, and is pretty much useless, the sulcus tip for periodontal pockets is very hard to align with the gum line, is of very low power, and though using antigingivitis solutions are mentioned, none is specified. Is the classic mixture of baking soda and peroxide going to get thru this machine ? LOL. The manufacturer puts the burden on you to find out. Another serious problem: on earlier Water Pik machines an external storage holder was designed into the case providing an out of the way place for tips in use to be stored and to dry. The current machine gives you a closed case for the tip storage, very unsanitary. Were no dental or medical people involved in the design of the latest model ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterpik - Awesome Dental Hygeine Product I have always used an electric toothbrush, dental floss and mouthwash to clean my teeth until recently when I purchased the Waterpik. I had always heard about Waterpik; however I never thought I needed one until my dentist recommended that I get one. After using the Waterpik, I will never clean my teeth again with only an electric toothbrush and floss. The Waterpik reaches everywhere you want easily; the water pressure is adjustable; it is compact; easily fits in the bathroom; there are many different heads to use for all your dental hygiene needs; and it gets into all the nooks and crannies massaging as it cleans your teeth and gums. It leaves your whole mouth feeling clean, fresh, and really great. As an older woman, I had noticed that my gums had started to recede, and I like that the Waterpik allows me to really clean in between my teeth much better than floss. I liked the product so much; I went out and also bought the travel version so that I can enjoy the same great results that I get at home when I am traveling. I really love this product and highly recommend it to anyone who seriously cares about oral hygiene.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased! I purchased this model about a month ago on the recommendation of my periodontist. It is very easy to operate and comes with a variety of tips which store in the lid. I cannot believe the "debris" that is washed out from between my teeth after I have already brushed for two minutes!!! I am looking forward to my next appointment in another month to see if my periodontist can tell a difference with my gum problems since I have been using my water-pik every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use! Love this Waterpik. Lots of different settings! When I first started using it, I started at the lowest setting but now after a couple weeks, I have gradually increased it. My mouth feels so clean after using it. And my Dentist thinks it's great that I am using it. I was always a string glosser but the this Waterpik is by far, so much easier & better. I wish I had purchased this years ago!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water flosser ultra waterpik . . Occasionally over the years, I have gotten minor gum problem, and my dentists have recommended waterpiks along with other remedies.. So I have kept a water pik on hand and used it successfully whenever I needed it . Recently I had a major gum infection requiring several deep cleaning treatments by my dental hygienist. When my old waterpik sprung a leak I purchased a water flosser ultra waterpik . The updated version is really good with more functional options . The function that works on infections within ridges of the gums does a super job of cleaning. I was so impressed that I purchased another one as a Christmas gift for my son, telling him that even though he has no problems now, he should use it along with his regular brushing to avoid future gum problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Beginners! My orthodontist had mentioned to use a water pik during the application of my new braces. I did purchase a small battery operated travel size to take to work. Much to my surprise the pressure was scary and I didn't try it on my teeth, only my hand. Fearful of water flossing, I did google search for adjustable water piks and much to my surprise, I found this one. I started with using pressure #3 and has gradually increased the pressure. I just love it and use it daily and wished I had used one all my life!! I am so happy with my new water pik and have purchased extra accessories for braces. Thank you for my healthy smile!!

Water Everywhere?
Does this shoot out water so hard that it gets more water on the mirror than in your mouth? Is the pressure speed variable and does it turn off when you take your finger off the button or do you have to shut it off manually?
