Rated 4 out of 5 by from See through fabric Okay. I have been searching for drapes forever!!! I think I may just have to have them made. The color was exactly what I needed so I purchased four of the Sullivan Khaki...however they are more see through than I would like. They have a middle and back lining but too much light still seeps through. I have lots of large windows and I love light, but I have sheers for that. I also thought they were a bit pricey for the quality. They are pretty, but not a wow factor. Oh and they do slide through the curatin rod fairly easily for easy open and close. I am posting some photos, couldn't get the true color of the drapes because of the lighting in the room, but hope this helps so you can see these will probably help keep some of the heat out but still to bright for a non-morning person like myself (and photos were taken in the evening when the sun was already going down). Additionally I need something a little heavier that will keep the room cooler while we're not home with the Texas scorching heat, unfortanutely these were not the right drapes for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from new drapes the holiday I found these on the clearance table. What a find. The store only had one panel left and I need two. The very nice gentleman that helped me called several stores to see if they had any and I located one in a city that I was going to the very next day. Picked it up and I got everything I needed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Strange curtains I saw the curtains in the store and loved the lustrous steel color which went perfectly with my new comforter. They were out of stock so I waited for 2 months for them to arrive. Online they advertise them as washable. When they arrived the label read dry clean only. The curtains are made out of an almost sheer fabric. The lining is made of an odd fabric, almost like a thin fleece on 1 side of the white lining. When I hung them the light coming in through my windows almost hides the gray color of the curtains. They look gray at night. Guess I need to buy black out panels to see the beautiful shade of gray that they really are. I still would have bought this curtains even though they were not as I expected. I love the lustrous steel color. I looked everywhere for that color and didn't find them anywhere else. I would recommend them to somebody only after they saw them hanging in my window because they are quite different hanging up than online or in the store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It fit mu window perfectly and looks much more expensive than it is. The valance has formal pockets in the design which the picture didn't show and when hung gives it a more formal look and that is exactly what I wanted. The color was what I thought it would be, which many times is not the case. The sale coupon on top of the sale price made it an incredible value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful curtains, rich color Bought these curtains for my living room and dining room in perfect plum. They are very rich and luxurious looking. Went back and bought the same ones for my bedroom. Love the color and they block out light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice drapery for the price Nice drapery for the price. When shipped, one panel came damaged (obviously repackaged from earlier rejection) and delayed my install. In spite of the delay this caused, pleased with end result.

How am I supposed to put the rod thru when each section is sewn shut?

Asked by: Reen
It really isn't sewn shut. You have to shift the rod a little when you come to the pocket but it does go through. Like you, at first I thought it was sewn shut also, but separate the fabric while pushing the rod will work.

if my window measures 58" long how will these valances look? I have 2 48" windows together making the total 96" wide, how many valances will I need

Asked by: Lynne
The valance will look fine considering the length of your windows. They hang about 18" - 19" down. But with your windows being so wide, you will probably need 3 for the each window. Each part of the valance is about 28" wide once you hang it, but they overlap.

Possible to tie these

I am planning to order these in cool white and thought I would get 4 panels for a very shirred full look for a baby room. I was wondering if they could be pulled in the middle and gathered up and tie with ribbon 2 panels each with a ribbon.... total 2 ribbons... or are they too thick?
Asked by: candle
They're lightweight enough that I think it could easily work.
