Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased Petite Based on another review, I did purchase the next largest size. I normally wear a Petite 8/10 - bought the Petite Large. With the liner in and wearing a lightweight fleece the coat was comfortable, the sleeves were not too tight around the shoulder and I was able to zip it. Not sure how much thicker I can go without it being too tight across the chest, but with the liner in, it appears to be a very warm coat. I am just 5 foot, the sleeves come to my thumb knuckle - but are adjustable tightness with velcro which will keep them from hanging - which I am used to anyways. There is also a windguard inside the sleeve. The length was good in the Petite for me - top of thigh, and no issue being too tight around the bottom to zipper. Purchased the cranberry color, the inside lining is grey, but the outside of it is WHITE. Not sure how often I will wear the white, but am sure I will use the outside shell alone in spring and rain - which was really my intention. Zippers holding the lining in are all quality and the pieces fit together solidly enough that there isn't any shifting between the two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love that it comes in Petite-It fits! I ordered the petite size because I am only 5 foot, and have a stocky figure. If not a petite cut, the torso is too long and the waist hits my hips. For once, the coat fits perfectly everywhere! There is plenty of room in the hips and it isn't bulky around the chest. I also appreciate that there isn't a double zipper because I always end up busting them (cannot seem to line them up correctly). Since there is plenty of room around the hip area, a double-zipper is not necessary. The coat is soft and warm, with a high neck and plenty of pockets. The ONLY drawback are the snaps keeping the liner in place. The snaps holding the arms in place pulled out of the coat the first time that I used it. I can easily sew them back into the seam, but that is a drawback and the only reason I didn't give this coat 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Coat Before my purchase, I read several reviews because I never purchased a coat on line before. The reviews were very helpful. I am 5' tall and never saw petite coats in JCPenny stores. I always had to got to a taylor and get the sleeves shortened. I followed one review that said she was 5' and purchased a petite large coat. (Normally I wear petite small or medium. I am so happy with this really nice coat and it is warm! I do not have to get the sleeves shortened. There is a an adjustment strap which I use on the sleeve. I live in New Jersey and the weather in unpredictable. I can wear this coat without any sweater underneath and I am nice and warm. On a really cold day I can add a heavy sweater and I was surprised that the coat was not tight. I would recommend this coat to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for the price. I had ordered two other jackets previous to this one and neither fit even though according to the reviews they ran true to fit. I am so pleased with this one. It fits perfectly and I have had many complements every time I wear it. I am so glad that I tried one more time to order a jacket. It is truly a three in one jacket, I can wear it with the liner in, or out or wear just the liner and the jacket looks good with the hood attached or off. I really love the style and comfort, it is slightly flared at the hips and I can wear a sweat shirt under it on extra cold mornings without feeling like it is binding. Just a very comfortable jacket all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleeve length makes sense Before my purchase, I read several reviews saying that the sleeves are too long. Not so. This sleeve design is necessary when there's another coat underneath it! You wouldn't want the inside coat sleeves hanging out. The inner coat sleeves ride right at the wrist area. The outside layer sleeves are supposed be longer to cover above your hand to protect you when your arms are stretched out (for scraping snow off your windshield, participating in snow sports, or just pushing a grocery cart.) If you're going to wear this coat with your arms mostly downward, simply tighten the velcro at the wrist. This coat has thoughtful features that make it so functional. Recently I wore both layers to work on a cold morning. By lunchtime, it had warmed up considerably, so when I headed out for an outdoor workout, all I really needed was the inner, lighter layer. These layers zip and button off and on each other with incredible ease! If it feels a little tight across the chest, it's probably because you're wearing 2 coats at once. I find that each alone is a perfect, proportional fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! After shopping at several area sporting goods stores with hyped up prices I was pleasantly surprised to find this jacket at JC Penneys. Warm and comfy--this is my new favorite ski jacket. Zipped outside pockets are easy to get into, cut for easy arm movement. I did go up one size to allow for sweater and base layer underneath jacket. Great price !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, good quality, stylish I got this jacket during a really great sale, which made it an excellent bargain. Since then, I've really come to love it. It's warm in a New England winter, its fitted which is nice as it makes me look less like a marshmallow. I like the inner coat as well and think I'll get some good wear out of it. I especially like it because the cuffs are nice and snug to keep the wind out. I like that this coat is longer than my last one and less bulky. Overall, a great winter coat! I would highly recommend it! I thought it seemed to be of much better quality than the similar Columbia jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket!! I am so happy with my purchase! I was honestly hesitant to order it as I had never ordered this brand before. It is very comfortable and warm. I ordered one for me and my daughter for our upcoming snow trip. I ordered her a medium and myself a large. They both fit exact to the size. We wanted a little wiggle room so she kept the large and I sent the medium back and ordered an X-large for myself. The process was very smooth and easy. The jacket was a steal!
