Rated 5 out of 5 by from FOTL...STILL AWESOME!! I've worn classic white Fruit of the Loom briefs ever since my mother very first bought them for me when I was 11-12 and stopped wearing boys briefs with cartoon/superhero characters on them. I'm 27 years old now, an assistant high school baseball coach who runs daily, and to this day FOTL still makes AWESOME white briefs. Though most of my fellow coaches have switched to boxer briefs, 5 or 6 of us still rock "tighty whities"...and FOTL is easily the most popular brand to wear. These briefs are always soft and comfortable, and they provide all the necessary classic brief-style support around my waist and crotch area. FOTL briefs never bunch or wrinkle, the fabric always stays smooth/flush on my sides and bottom, and they remain tight but not constricting even after multiple washes...just as a great pair of classic full cut white briefs should! All I ask is that JC Penneys keep selling classic WHITE Fruit of the Loom briefs as long as possible so I can keep buying them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what it used to be I purchased exactly the same product about three years ago. Everything about that product was great. This order gives a fabric notably less dense than my first purchase. The printing is barely visible and the fit a little tighter. A big quality downturn.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Radically Changed Product I ordered 2 packs of these briefs going on my prior experience from 18 months ago. When I first purchased these, the "wow factor" on these registered a 10 out of 10. The fit was great, they were a real quality fabric and very durable. I was severely disappointed when I reordered a little while back. The briefs were cut smaller, the waist band now rolls up like a rubber band-[this was never an issue on the prior pairs] and the fabric of the brief itself seems to be a thinner, cheaper alternative to what they were using when I first purchased them. I have to tell you, pass these buy. Until Fruit of the Loom retools and brings back the former sizing and quality, I cannot recommend you buying these. I wish I could, The first purchase was an excellent buy and a great value, since then, the company has changed the product and it is an an entirely different product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Men are not Women Who decided that men need a New Sizing scheme "for an improved fit"? That was a ridiculous idea and they need to know that men don't need to "fake" their sizes for any reason! We would rather know exactly which size we are so we are wearing the right underwear. As a Crohns disease sufferer, I am especially affected by this new sizing scheme and if you know what that entails, you would certainly understand. Change the sizing scheme back to the normal size. Until then, we will no longer purchase FOTL products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Repeat product purchaser, but manufacturer changed product sizing I have purchased this manufacturers underwear previously with excellent results. My recent purchases have been unsatisfactory. The problem results from the manufacturer, Fruit of the Loom making a product decision to recalibrate all is sizing. They moved to a new sizing scheme effective this past April 2014, call "universal sizing" Basically the sizes have been reduced at least one to possibly one and half sizes smaller. In this particular line of underwear they do not now even offer a comparable size to what was previously XL (extra large). So basically this high end product being offered by JCP has eliminated a sizable part of there market. They need to have Fruit of the Loom begin producing a XXL size so that previous customers purchasing XL underwear have a size choice. JCP, - get hot on your vendor and get the XXL size in your stores asap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased with purchase, product has good fabric and fits well. Fruit of the Loom and Hanes were on sale at JCP. Previously used Hanes but could not find correct size. Tried Fruit of the Loom and these proved to fit comfortably and seem to be made with good fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable & dependable. I have been buying these for my husband for 40 years. Reliable & dependable. Always fit, always comfortable. Keep up the good work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Run, don't walk to get 30 pair... The quality is worth double the price. There are no words to explain how soft the fabric feels. I am buying 4 more packs!

Answer:
Yes, this would be considered "large" - however,
it might be helpful to measure the actual waist of
the person concerned to make sure.

Answer:
Yes, I think Large would be a safe bet.... Isn't there a sizing chart for the briefs? Me; I'm a 38 and they fit snug, 36 should be just right for large.
