Rated 2 out of 5 by from A bit disappointing I've used the microwave for 4 months and have come to realize it does not quite suit my needs. PROS: * Small, takes up much less room * Attractive CONS: * Small; some dishes/cups/cookware will not fit * Very low power; cooking time is significantly longer * Requires too many steps to set a simple cook time * Beep must be turned off by pressing the correct button; it does not shut off by itself. You must hover nearby so as to turn off the beeping beeper or be subjected to the noise until you figure out the right button to press. I knew this was a lower-powered, smaller unit than I am used to. I didn't realize how much functionality I was trading away in order to get the smaller sized appliance. I am resigned to all the drawbacks, with the exception of that annoying beep. Interestingly enough, that is the deal-breaker for me, and I find myself avoiding using the appliance. YMMV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent small microwave This is a great little unit. It's very attractive, and fits nicely in a small space. It's got some features I wouldn't expect on such an economical microwave. I love the Express Cook feature which uses the 1,2,3 buttons to immediately start for 1, 2, 3 minutes. It's also got a 30 sec button. I've very quiet, and my favorite feature: a Sound button that turns off/on the annoying beeps. This would be particularly nice for a shared dorm room when one person is sleeping. I don't use it for much more than reheating beverages that have sat too long and gone cold, so I may never use some of it's fancier programming options, but so far I'm very pleased. I also like that I can get a bracket to hang it if I want to.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Avoid products with cryptic controls and no manual I bought this product several months ago and still have no idea how to operate it properly. There is no manual. Some of the buttons are followed by additional queries, but this product only has a numeric display and does not properly prompt the user. The text printed on the product offers little guidance. This is a 700W microwave. You should approximately double the cooking times printed on frozen food items.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive small microwave with convenient feature I bought this 0.7 cubic ft microwave to replace an old Quasar microwave that sits on a custom shelf when I remodeled my kitchen 20 years ago. Used the new microwave for 2 weeks so far; very pleased with the one-touch express cook time feature. I almost thought the GE microwave is defective when I tried to set power level for melting butter. It turned out that the user manual on how to change the power level is incorrect. The correct way is to use time cook button first, enter the time, and then hit the power button to change to a low power level (like 1). Also, beware that the plug takes up 2.5" when plugged into an outlet. Because the new GE microwave sits on an 12" shelf, I am glad it is smaller than (width) than my old Quasar so I can move it to closer to one side of the shelf to have room to plug into the outlet that used to be behind the old Quasar. Finally, the turntable sits very solidly and does not shift after use. The one thing I do need to figure out is how to clean the finger print smudges on the stainless steel door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GE Microwave I initially purchased the microwave because it fit perfectly into the small space I needed it to; however, it has performed much better than I initially thought it would for its size and wattage. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a microwave.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Look! We wanted a smaller microwave that could still do all the functions and cooking of a bigger one. It fits very cozy on our shelving unit. It cooks great and is perfect for our uses (heating up leftovers, defrosting items, popcorn)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for a small kitchen. I bought this microwave to save space on my kitchen counter. It's the perfect size. I also love how quiet it is. Since most of my microwaving is reheating leftovers or making popcorn, the 700 watts is just fine.
