Rated 3 out of 5 by from STUPID FEATURE MAKES IT A BAD FEATURE! At the bottom of the freezer & refrigerator doors, a plastic rod protrudes to prevent each door from closing, intervening to cause a spring-back action similar to that of the spring attached to the head of a Jack-in-the-box toy. Therefore, rather than easing into a soft-close as all refrigerator doors in my decades of experience have done, the door/doors remain ajar unless a heftier push is applied. Although a 'door-ajar' alarm is amongst the features of this model, if leaving home in a rush as I often do, the alarm is useless as it cannot be heard over the distance covered between the time of departure and the start of the alarm sound. This is also the case when scurrying out of the kitchen to head to the bathroom and/or bedroom (where the alarm also cannot be heard). I cannot imagine a purpose for or benefit from this motion-halting rod, which to me seems a malfunction. There is no feature to prevent either door from OVER-extending into the adjacent cupboard, which I could understand the purpose of(!). I've learned this is 'normal' on my particular model (but not other GE models!!). The unit is otherwise useful as intended--to freeze and/or refrigerate foods. The external cavity of the water/ice dispensing unit (where one would insert a glass or bottle for holding filtered water or ice) could be somewhat longer from top-to-bottom to handle a taller vessel, but otherwise, is gorgeous and provides ample interior space for me as a single user.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Missing features I was extremely disappointed at the inefficiency of the inside of the refrigerator, utilization of the top self has a big bump coming out of the back, limiting space. No deli drawer. I had to get a counter depth refrigerator for the first time, my old refrigerator was normal in size and fit in this space. This refrigerator was a fraction, and I mean a fraction bigger then my old refrigerator but hold much less. The bottom drawers are small & have shallow depth because of bump in the back same for the freezer. Love the Slate color, wish you made a free standing microwave to match.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from water filter is a disappointment This is an OK refrigerator. The slate color is great and a nice improvement over the more commonplace stainless steel. The shelves are a little tight. we bought the counter level model and there is a bigger model but it wouldn't have fit. The filter for the water dispenser is supposed to last three months but we've owned ours for 4 months and have gone through 3 filters already. I would recommend the dealer. They've been fantastic in helping us and explaining the features and staying in contact with us, constantly following up

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly picked for color & size I like the counter-depth, but not impressed with storage. My old early '90's GE side by side had a 2 large drawers & a deli drawer. This one just has 2 drawers at the bottom of the fridge. Noise-wise it's similar, only it doesn't run continuously like my old one did. I'm wondering if there is a drawer I can buy? Also I like the slate front, but not the stainless handles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look of slate. Color blends well. Love the look of slate. I like the temperature control features that are so accessible and simple to use, counter depth, side by side. With side by side, no so much bending over/reaching to access frozen foods is required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Product I am not usually a fan of side-by-side refrigerators. But I am truly happy with this counter depth version of the side-by-side. I have a small kitchen area and this style has given me more room in my small kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Refrigerator I purchased this refrigerator about 3 months ago and it works great. The gunmetal color with stainless steel door handles also looks great. I do wish the refrigerator had a few addition lights inside the unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Refrigerator Looks great, runs very quiet. A little disappointed with the loss of space compared to our old model. Hopefully that will be offset by the cost of running the new one. To soon to tell that yet.
