Rated 5 out of 5 by from GE Ovens are the best! This oven replaced an older GE wall oven I had in a kitchen remodel. It's an excellent oven. I use it often and I love having double ovens in my kitchen. It made the best turkey we have ever enjoyed this past Thanksgiving. My model does not have convection, but I'm kind of old school so I don't miss that feature. There was a small learning curve using this new oven from my old GE. This one runs a bit on the "cooler" side, so I either bump up the temp 20 degrees or just add on to the cooking time. Knowing this, I love how the oven performs. Baked potatoes, bread, cookies - you name it, it cooks everything I've given it like a 5 star chef. I LOVE GE appliances. They may not be flashy, but they are workhorses! Every appliance I own is currently GE and I don't have any service or performance issues with any of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Ovens Bought this double-oven late last year. Good looking, great accuracy in temperature, though the pre-heat is a bit longer than I'm used to, probably due to the lower elements being located under the oven floor. THat's not a problem as it makes clean-up a snap. I wish I could turn on the oven lights independently rather than having both ovens light up with the same switch, but that's just me. The temperature controls and timers are easy to use. The racks, of course are interchangeable from one oven to the other so you can have one for the roast in one oven and three in the other for holding. They also have an "opening" in front so you can easily pull them out and in without having to be too careful about burning you hands. There are no "Hot spots". Everything cooks evenly. All in all, a good buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Install -- Door Locked Open :( I was pleasantly surprised how well the installation went. Since our old double oven was also a GE, we were able to install the new double oven with just a little bit of electrical work (had to move the connection box up). However, once it was all installed and the doors back on, the lower oven was locked (with the door open). It took several power cycles to get the lock to finally release so we could shut the door. We haven't used it to actually bake anything yet but first impressions were mixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally satisfied Given my ovens several weeks of use and happy to report that I am totally satisfied. I don't understand why some people feel drawn to much more expensive kitchen appliances that do not have the proven track record and reputation of GE. Yes, I am in the period where I expect all to go right with these ovens-- being brand new and everything. But this installed with little effort and all seems well made.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Annoying Clicking Noise Oven came with our new home. So fare it seems to work fine, but it makes a very loud and annoying clicking noise the entire time it is warming up and running. The noise is actually louder when it is warming up. It sounds like a relay, turning the heating element on and off, but this shouldn't occur during heating up and it is noisier than the new whirpool oven we just left in our old home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Useful Oven Having the double oven feature in our new home (via the "Gourmet Kitchen" upgrade) has been a wonderful experience. We can easily handle cooking/baking two items at once, and the controls are generally intuitive. It is simple to clean overall, and compared to the other appliances in the upgraded kitchen (which were disappointing overall), this one has stood out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works excellent. But some appearance issues Bought this unit for a kitchen upgrade. Noticed when I unpacked that the top door is mounted crooked. Not by much but noticeable. Called in for repair and they replaced hinges and inside of door. It is better but still off. The unit does work work well but next step would be to pull unit out which I really don't want to do. Service has been excellent though.
