Rated 3 out of 5 by from GE cheaping out on range features We bought all new slate appliances; fridge so far is great (few compromises but overall happy) and dishwasher too, but stove has left us disappointed. Notice on almost every model GE has 'cheaped out' on some basic features that would have taken rating to a 4. Easier to clean and more durable stovetop would have got it 5. Colour is great. Appearance-wise it's nice tho there is a big gap between top of oven door and stovetop but get used to it. Side panels look unfinished. So far, function is good and that's critical. Bottom drawer tho full width is pretty small if using for storage. And the hot light indicator on the stovetop is only a single light so can't tell which burner(s) is still hot. Simple thing but another disappointment. My old range had an indicator for each burner and it was more handy than u would think. Agree with another reviewer that timer alarm is too quiet (esp if u have kids). Finally, why not include a plug-in?! For those of us with older homes those extra plug-ins on the stove make a big difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GE Slate Stove Used this stove for over 2 months. Love the ceramic top, easy cleaning ability, love the spacious oven, and pull out drawer on bottom. Love the no fingerprint slate with my white cupboards. Bakes wonderfully. A great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product and heartily recommended We wanted to change out our old drop-in electric range with a more modern range as part of our kitchen renovation. We shopped around carefully and finally settled on this model. We also bought the matching above-range microwave unit. We are completely satisfied with the quality and performance of this range and all the other GE products we have in our kitchen. This is an excellent range that does what it has been created to do with excellence and ease of use. We wholeheartedly recommend it without any reservations whatsoever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful! I have had my new stove for almost 2 months and love it! Love the flexibility of using the oven or the convection oven. The range top is super easy to clean and like that the red light stays on to let you know the burners are still hot after turning them off so no surprising burns when you touch it. Just a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoy my new stove The stove is great. Having three racks is really a bonus if you have more than one thing that needs to go in at the same time instead of the standard two racks. Have only baked a few times with the convection oven but so far everything has come out great. The top cleans off very well and have had no problem with that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stove Made in USA This stove is wonderful!!! Hidden bottom oven element and three racks more useful than I expected. Some reviews indicated that the hidden element would make the oven "take forever" to heat up. Maybe they had a nuclear oven? :/ My old electric oven took 30 - 60 minutes to heat up to over 400°C. This oven is there in less than 15 minutes. The only things that would make the oven interior better would be if I had a >6 cubic foot space and one of the oven racks had the newer feature of removing half the rack to flexibly cook tall and short items. The old oven was not convection; but, this convection cooks as evenly as advertised. No more crunchy lasagna, cake, or cookie edges to get the interior of the dish cooked. With the interior finish type, I have not had to use the cleaning features yet. Wipes up easier than my old oven. Exterior slate finish makes it hard to find the finger prints and smudges to clean it. Oh well, I'll have to live with that :). The stove top features are great, with two multi-function elements and a warming spot. Other reviews indicate that the burners do not have low enough simmer heating. That may be true for a better cook than myself, but have not noticed this yet. Other reviews indicate the cook top is hard to keep a shiny clean look. This is true. My last stove had a slightly less black look with more brown dots and easier to keep a clean look. But a quick swipe with appropriate cleaner takes care of that. A much louder timer sound would help a lot. Better yet, ability to program timer sound level would be perfect. I have only had this range a little over one month. If I do not post again, you will know that it is as great as brand new in years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love with the slate!! I love this stove. Bottom element is not exposed, so cleaning is so much easier. Controls work very well and easy to use. Power boil element gets water boiling in no time! And the warming element is also a nice additional feature!
