Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poison auto clean cycle Perhaps this is a typical issue of new ovens: they are lined with non-stick coating so that when they reach high temperatures they are stinky and create what I experienced as toxic gases. With normal daily use it is tolerable, however when I first bought it I was under the impression that I should run the self clean cycle before I first baked. I should have evacuated my house. I was asleep and I woke up, with noxious air circulating. I went into the kitchen and turned off the oven, but the air quality was so poor that it burnt my eyes and made me feel ill. I slept that night with my bedroom door shut, the dog and my child both in with me so that they would not be additionally poisoned in another room. The window was open on a chilly fall evening. My house remained stinky for 3 days following, even with all of the windows open and fans running. Never again will I run the self clean cycle, and in the future I will buy a second hand oven.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice addition to the kitchen, but a few nits. Bought this when my old coil-top GE finally died. I've not really run it through its paces, yet, especially the oven, but so far I'm really liking it. The one thing that has been tough to get used to is that it seems that the units run a lot hotter than my coil top stove. Whereas I could maintain a low boil on 5 with my old range, this one maintains the same low boil at 1 or 2. I love that the oven has a hidden element. FAR easier to clean up spills. I've not had the chance to run the convection oven through its paces, but I'm looking forward to that. The one thing I do not like about this stove is that the burner knob detents at low and high are FAR to subtle and it's easy to knock them out of position to an off position, which you don't realize until your food isn't cooking. One other thing is that the back panel is taller than my previous two ranges, which effectively makes one of the outlets in my kitchen unusable because it's covered. That's not a big deal, though, as I rarely used that one, but it is a consideration if you have outlets, pot fillers, etc., in the backsplash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, great! Purchased a month ago. Everything works perfectly so far. Love the glass top and convection oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Have had it for a month and so far it works great. Had that new oven smell at first but it seems to have gone away. So far it's been really easy to keep clean using the oven "conditioner" stuff and the cleaning spray they recommend. Just keep it wiped off. Don't start cooking on it if it's already dirty, that'll definitely be hard to remove. Mine still looks brand new and I've cooked on it almost every day. I set stuff on it sometimes since my microwave is right above it, I'm just careful when I set stuff down and I try not to move things across the surface. I'd really recommend it. It's my first smooth top oven, have had gas ovens for the past 10 years. It's been an adjustment just changing cooking styles but so far I'm happy I switched!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Have to push too many button I've had the oven two months. It cooks well, but the biggest problem I'm still getting used to is pushing a button to confirm everything. You press the timer button, enter a time and have to push Start. If you want to change the timer, you have to push the timer button again and push start again. Same with changing temperature. You have to push Start button all the time as if it's always asking if you are sure you want to do this. It's annoying and just more wear and tear on button that quite honestly feel kinda cheap. The new oven chemical smell took a long time to dissipate as well. So yeah, the over is aight...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased Really like the features of this range. The hidden bottom element is one of the main reasons for purchase. Makes cleaning so much easier. The slate finish is really attractive and goes well in kitchen and would really work with any decor. I do wish the handle was also fingerprint resistant. The various element size choices is sufficient for whatever pan I want to use on the stove top. I also like the warming area of the stove top. The consistent temperature of the oven makes baking even more enjoyable. Baked goods come out evenly browned and not over cooked on the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am thrilled with the whole package I installed the range today, used it to cook my frozen entrée for dinner using the "Power Boil" feature and was amazed at how quickly it got hot, it was like I was using a gas range, I love that, it's a nice design and I'm sure I will love the convection oven as well, I have always been a fan of GE appliances

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Electric Stove My stove was installed on Jan 18 and I have used the stove surface units a few times now and I am amazed how quick they heat up! I have used the oven twice (once using the convection feature) and am very pleased. Two friends recommended this stove to me.
