Rated 5 out of 5 by from 70/30 Double oven Have found that the smaller upper oven is the one frequently used for cooking and being smaller it heats up faster minimizing waiting time. As an example of the several models we looked at in store, this one had by far better quality oven racks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Range We got this range as a Christmas gift. Delivery was on time and installers did a great job! I love everything about this stove especially the double ovens, grill features, quick heating and beautiful styling. We got this in black and chrome. The reason for 4 stars is a problem with the glass top. I've only had this range for 3 days and already white spots are appearing on the glass cooktop on the burners I have used so far. I know how to use a glass cook top because I had a glass top Jenn-Air for years and never had this problem. Really affects the appearance. Otherwise, I love it. If not for this, it would be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Double door, can't go wrong, stylish... We were looking at a regular, single door electric range, the we came across this double door range. The features are great, heat up is quick. Two timers for each oven, obviously separate controls. Energy savings by using the upper smaller oven for smaller things like pizzas and casseroles, though the upper does not have convection (fan) heating. The lower (larger) oven heats normally as one would expect and has a choice of convection or regular use. Doors open and close easily and evenly.. Stove heats up pots of water (test) quickly. No problems keeping clean. Really looks nice and works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JB860SJSS - It does it all We received this range as a replacement for a range which could not be fixed. So, we did not select the kind of replacement. However, we could not be more pleased if we had picked this range out ourselves. From the good looks to the heating elements, everything looks and works great. The warming burner in the middle was a great bonus. Also being a conventional and a convection oven is a real treat. If we went down to the local appliance stores to pick a new range out, we couldn't beat this range and would have chosen this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Look Love the look of the double oven. It is nice to have an extra oven for the holidays. The temperature of the oven on top tends to get hot so we adjust the temp to 25 degrees less. Still in the process of becoming familiar with the top temperature but very happy we decided on the double oven. We have kids that cook so we decided to go electric instead of gas for peace of mind. We have had a single oven with drawer before and the drawer was a warmer and not space for storage. So happy to go this route with a double this time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly Great Good quality product. One issue - the lowest setting for the burners is still too high. It doesn't seem capable of a light heat. Even on low, a light sautee will bubble with heat. Other than that I am very happy with it. Easy to clean. Love having the small and large oven. The controls are easy to use. Looks good. Appears to be quality made. One of the things I liked about this stove top as compared to similar products was that all the six inch burners were of the same wattage...For other brands that would vary, so that a medium setting would have different heat depending on which six inch burner you were using. I liked the consistent wattage of the GE. However, those other ones did have lower wattage burners so that you could probably get a low simmer. Again, mostly very pleased with this product, but would suggest that the low burner setting (particularly in the front) is actually low. My experience is that the low setting is closer to what medium low should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far I can't find anything to complain about!!! This is only my 2nd day but other than the cleaning features I've cooked and baked using all features. Simple to program, I didn't need the manual. I have always had electric so getting used to the stove top, it's very different from gas, always had black glass on cooktop so giving it a shine after use is habit. The only thing I need practice on is putting pans in the top oven. Used to hold the middle of the pan now I have to remember to hold the sides in order to keep my knuckles from a quick burn.

This 30" GE range has a "regular" oven and a larger convection oven. Is it possible to turn off the convection in the lower oven?

Asked by: Jane
Hello Jane, I am happy to help. The lower oven offers the convection feature. If you do not want to cook with convection, you can just press the bake pad instead of convection bake. I hope this helps. Thank you for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.

Can cast iron skillets be used on the cooktop?

Asked by: happysewer
Hello Happysewer. This is Lida with GE Appliances. Cast Iron cookware is not recommended. If the cookware has a burr or rough spot, it will scratch the glass surface. Additionally, it is slow to absorb heat. Once this type of cookware heats up, especially on high heat, it holds an intense amount of heat which is transferred to the cooktop. This can cause the element to shut down as a response to the temperature limiters which indicate surface temperature is too high for cooktop components to handle. I'm glad you checked.
