Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this range! I bought a house and it had a smooth top stove. I gave it a chance, and for a variety of reasons I hated it. My preference is a gas range but my neighborhood doesn't have gas so I decided to go "old school" with an electric coil range. I also did not want the oven to have digital controls. I found this stove and it was installed 11/14/16. So far, I love love love this stove! The only thing I would note is that while the controls for the burners require you to first push the dial in before you can turn it, the oven control does not seem to have that same feature. For this reason, I have found that I can accidentally turn on the oven just my lightly brushing against the dial. However, now that I am aware of it, this is something I am able to easily avoid. I do wish though that the oven dial had the same "push first" feature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from VERY cheaply made We bought this stove because it is the ONLY one we could find that would fit the opening we have and that was electric. If we could have found parts for our 35 year old range, we would have fixed it and not had to settle for this very cheaply made "disposable" piece of aluminum. It is very flimsy. When we got it brand new, out of the box, many areas of the back and sides were bent, rippled and twisted - not a huge deal because they won't be seen, but still you would think a brand new item wouldn't be damaged. Also, there wasn't a protective blue plastic covering any of it. (The inch and half GE logo had a piece of blue plastic over it, but that was it!) My husband, who is a Handyman, installed the range. He is very good at what he does and knows what he is doing. While "leveling" this range, he was using three individual levels. From front to back and side to side the range is level, but each individual burner is not level and all are off differently from each other. He put a level in the middle of the range top between the burners and there is almost a quarter-inch sag in the middle of the range top. There is no way to level each of the four burners equally and there is no support under the range top to alleviate the sag. The bottom drawer feels like it was made out of a soda can. Actually, I think a soda can has more strength to it. It is incredibly flimsy and does not sit equally on the runners. One side of the drawer face is flush with the front face of the range but an eighth of an inch lower than the other side. The "taller side" is three eighths of an inch away from the range face while the "short" side is flush. The drawer front was not put squarely on the drawer. The runners are a pathetic looking bit of plastic that bend and don't hold very well with any kind of weight in the drawer. My Cast Iron Dutch Oven is too heavy for the bottom drawer to support. I haven't even used this range yet and still cannot, in good conscience, recommend it. IF you have no other choice, like we did not, you can probably make do but expect to have to work at it for quite some time to get it leveled and don't expect a solid feeling range.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Time to preheat ridiculous Add much add I love love love GE appliances, this is the 1st time I've ever had an issue. I set my oven to 350°, and after 30 minutes, it was only up to 300. This is simply unacceptable. This is a replacement for the same model that did the same thing, only that one stayed in a perpetual state of preheat, and once it FINALLY reached the preset temperature, it just kept going. Needless to say, everything I tried to bake got burned. Is there a problem with the thermostats in this particular model? When I cook ribs low and slow, I very often leave my home to run errands since they cook for 8 to 10 hours. There is NO WAY I feel comfortable doing that with this stove. Any suggestions?? This may sound silly, but the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because this is the first GE product with which I've ever had an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good feature having controls on front Looks good, works good. A little pricey for coil top stove just to have controls on front.
