Rated 4 out of 5 by from small change would make it 5-star We bought this to replace 20yr old smooth top. We like the option of convection oven and the 3 racks. The smooth top on this one is a very clean design. The 2 small elements that can be used together work great for the pancake griddle. The warming element comes in handy when making a big family dinner and not everything is ready at the same time; so you can keep something from cooling down. The most used element is the 3-in-1 element that has the large, medium, and small all integrated together. The one thing we would change would be the knobs. We bought this model because it is like our old one which had the knobs in front where you don't have to reach over hot water or grease to turn the knobs. What we dislike about these knobs is that they stick up above the levels of the glass surface; and we have occasionally hit the knob when pulling a pan off the stove. A knob without the tall center section would be an easy fix or a more flush knob design would make it 5-star.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's a fair oven. Nice features but drawbacks. This seems to be a good oven. It has nice features such as the warming pad, and a section of two burners designed for a griddle or long pan. The power boil burner works very well. It is convection, and the control panel is easy to use. Also, it is nice that it comes with three oven racks. However, there are a few drawbacks. I have found the oven takes longer than my old one to heat to temperature, and it takes a LONG time to cool down, shut off. After heating it up to 350 for a test run, I shut it off, and it has been 25 minutes and the cooling fan is still whirring/ the oven temperature is still quite high. It isn't that loud, but if your dinig area is close to your cooking area, you might want to consider a different oven. I wish I had...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Scratches easy I bought this less than a month ago and it already has a scratch or mark. I had my old GE for 14 years and it wasn't scratched up. My husband cooked spaghetti and now my stove top looks awful. The oven and stove work well just not happy about scratching so easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bakes like a charm The oven bakes evenly. The 3 burners with extra power really do boil liquids fast. We love the double burners that can be used together for a large grill pan. The warming zone is a nice feature for keeping things warm while you cook other things. The top does require some scrubbing with cerma bright to keep it clean. I believe the little "bumps" on the burners are the cause of this. That's the only complaint I have. It is a very nice stove and oven and I am happy I bought it except for the nightly scrubbing after I cook dinner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific range! We bought this stove in December. I am still learning to use all the features; but love the performance and looks of the stove in my remodeled kitchen. On the 3-in-1 burner one the front, each one regulates a little bit differently for the settings. I have noticed that the lowest setting on most of the burners is not as low as I am accustomed to my other electric ranges. I wish it were just a tiny bit lower (almost a keep warm temperature). I love the 3 oven racks and the fact that the bottom heating element is beneath the floor of the oven. I broiled lobsters with lots of butter last week; and even with the door cracked open, the fan in the unit, kept smoke from coming out into the room, as has been a problem with my old range. I have not run a clean cycle yet; but all in all, I am really pleased with my new range.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Slate finish! Really like the range so far. Looks great, and it fit great into the space. Very easy install. A few things we have noticed: the fan in the oven stays on a long time after we shut it off. I guess that it is too cool it down, which is fine, but its kind of annoying. Also, in the manual it says not to use cast iron on the cooktop, which is my favorite type of pan, so that is a bummer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from slate slide-in range We remodeled our kitchen in November '16 and purchased all new GE slate appliances - range, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher (replacing 20 year old GE appliances). I've waited to review to make sure all items were working well. The greatest angst over purchasing (to say nothing of the poor salesperson who had to deal with me!) was the range. I primarily worried about two issues -- the over-hang edges at the front since we were planning on beveled edge countertop and didn't want a space to show; and the oven cleaning since I was used to the high heat cleaning. I first tried the steam clean feature when a pie ran over and baked on the bottom. The steam clean did not touch it at all. So I went to the heat self-clean and it worked perfectly. I note that the fan running bothers some, but I don't think it is loud at all and I open the door to speed the cool-down so no problem. I worry about scratches on the top but I've never had a flat top before so in time I may "baby the top" less. Regarding the edge overhang, we purchased cambria countertops and had them run the bevel just to the edge of the overhang (leaving a square edge under overhang) and if we ever get another range that doesn't have an overhang they can continue the bevel. Suggestion for future design -- don't have the overhang on slide in ranges and make the oven door thicker or make the side of the oven that shows have at least 1" of slate rather than black. It would be nice to see only slate from the side view. By the way, love the slate finish and it works very well with my ivory cabinets and Cambria Darlington countertop!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great oven, burners hard to control We love the look of the Slate color and the slide in range look. But I believe the surface burners are very hard to control. We just replaced our old GE smooth top electric with this. It just seems like you need to really turn the burners down to 1-2 to prevent boiling or burning things. The oven is GREAT ! Heats up much faster and bakes more evenly !!
