Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice size but a couple of downfalls I like the size of this washer and the different cycle options are very nice. Also, it is efficient and does not need much soap at all. However, I would not have purchased this washer if I knew about the 2 issues I'm having. 1) the washer very easily gets off balance esp with Heavy blankets or towels. Even if you put the washer on a completely level surface it easily gets off balance if the fabric inside is not perfectly distributed and the problem is that the bin is so large that although a large blanket can fit inside that's what causes the washer to get off balance. 2)The lid locking is very annoying. I understand the lid locks closed when the washer is calculating the load size or filling up water. However, There are times when I forget to add in a piece of clothing and I want to throw it in quickly. Most times the lid is locked and I have to pause the wash cycle or stop it completely to get the lid to unlock....drives me crazy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So big and efficient! I just bought this the other day and I'm so happy! I can wash tons of clothes and it comes out clean and fresh. I can wash my son's twin comforter, sheets and blanket all in one wash. I also can wash my other son's double bed comforter and sheets all in one wash. Throw it in and it comes out so clean and fresh! The only quirk I have is the precise fill option. For the first 3 loads it would fill up with water and I could add my laundry once it started. It would then measure it and then continue. The 4th load I threw in a Tide Pod into the wash and then started it before adding clothes and it wouldn't start filling with water. It seemed confused. I had to turn it off put the pod in, the clothes in and then start the wash and it worked. I'm still getting a feel for this feature so I'm not quite sure about it. It could be just me learning how to use the machine! Overall, I'm very happy with how my laundry turns out! My advise is to read the booklet thoroughly so you know how to use it properly. Good luck and happy washer hunting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large capacity with load size option! This machine does a great job of cleaning clothes and I love that it is a large capacity machine (for quilts, comforters, etc.)! It also has so many additional features, including the gurgitator - which moves clothes around! So many of the new machines do not! And, it has a second rinse cycle - if you choose!!!! This is a feature I think all machines should have, as the first rinse gets rid of all that dirt and soap, while the second rinse takes care of anything left over and liquid fabric softener. The only cons I could possibly mention is that it does take a little longer to run a cycle (compared to my older machine); not necessarily a bad thing though - and the sound is quite different as well (somewhat of a grinding noise). According to GE's website/video series, this is quite normal. All in all, I'm sure I'll have many years of service from this machine. I could say, "yay!" but we're still talking about me having to do laundry! lol

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected I previously owned a GE agitator washer for over 15 years, loved it!!! My husband surprised me with a GE front loader. I complained from day1 because it just did not appear to clean my clothes nor measure up to my expectations. Well, after 6 years, I was granted the opportunity to again purchase my desired agitator washer. I carefully compared and chose what appeared to be one of the top models as far as features are concerned. It is so light it bounce all over the place when I attempt to wash towels or jeans. The floor is level and we have adjusted the feet numerous times. The new technology used to balance the tub is overrated...useless; the cycles are shorter; the agitator moves like a short circuited robot; and I could continue. At this point, I wish I had the front loader back. But the lesson I have learned here is not to upgrade with any appliance until the one I currently own is totally dysfunctional and non-repairable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the features, expecially the water level options and the inner agitator. Good washer, but as previously reported, clothes do come out extremely wrinkled. Therefore, if you don't put them in the dryer (as I don't), there's definitely ironing required. The agitator and water level options are awesome!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from i LOVE THIS PRODUCT. i HAVE USED THIS BRAND FOR MANY YEARS I BOUGHT THIS WASHING MACHINE FOR 2 REASON. I NEEDED A NEW WASHING MACHINE AND THE PRICE WAS GOOD. iT WAS A BRAND NAME I HAVE USED FOR YEARS. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER I HAD IT I WENT TO PENNYS TO ASK A QUESTION AND WAS LOOKING AROUND AT MACHINES SIMILAR TO MINE AND I NOTICED A MACHINE THAT HAD A SOAP AND DOWNY DISPENSER. MINE DOESN'T HAVE THAT. I DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF PUTTING THE TIDE POD IN THE WASHING MACHINE THEN LAYING THE CLOTHES RIGHT ON TOP OF IT. OTHER THAN THAT I AM TOTALY SATISFIED.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review for GE Washer LOVE - LOVE this washer. After 10 years of having another GE washer this washer had basically the same features as my old one. Love the fact that I can control the amount of water that I need and that you can fill the washer with water with the lid up. I like being able to fill with water and put in the detergent before the clothes go in. Had purchased another brand before this and it didn't have this feature. So it was sent back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE LOVE I originally had a front loading washer and came to absolutely hate it. The lack of enough water was a real problem for me it did not get my cloths clean so I decided to buy one that is not energy efficient and uses a good amount of WATER. I found the agitator to be a wonderful addition. This was the only one in the store like it they are a slow dyeing breed. Couldn't be happier the saleslady told me they are going to quit making ones that are not energy efficient due to government control(imagine that). I seriously thought about buying another one and storing it so when this should go bad I would have one in reserve. My son and daughter-in-law owned a very expense front loader with all the bells and whistles they also did not like the results sold it and bought one just like this and they LOVE it. This was one of the least expense washers in the store and as far as I am concerned the best choice.
