Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installed on 4/3/17 Just replaced my GE Adora washer that was only four years old. The electronic sensor was sending mixed signals and could not get a load to drain or spin out. I wanted another GE brand and one that did not have so much electronic sensors. I decided on this model due to the knob options and had upright agitator. My husband installed it today and have only washed one load but was immediately impressed with how the clothes felt and looked afterwards. Could tell big difference between my two washers. Some have mentioned the noise but to me it doesn't make any more noise than what my other washer did. I did have to READ the manual to make sure I understood everything from setting up and starting my new washer. It does make a difference cause not all washers start out the same. Very anxious to really start using my new washer! Will post an updated review a few months from now. Happy Camper for now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great washer, actually cleans clothes! Great Washer! This machine actually cleans the clothes and has enough water to clean them! Before this washer, we had A Maytag MVWX700XW2 HE Low Water Level Top Loader without the agitator. We suffered with that washer for 4 years. That washer was a piece of junk, and was the worst washer we ever had!! Believe me when I say this, the clothes would actually come out dirtier after the wash, with stains and streaks. I had to wash the clothes sometimes two or three times, and open the lid to add more water and move the clothes around. I would have been better off beating them with a rock down by the river. NO JOKE That's why I decided to take a chance on this new GE machine. Wow, my clothes are clean for the first time in a such a long time. The come out very clean, relatively quiet, very well priced. This is a very easy to use washer and nothing complicated, just move a couple simple dials and it actually cleans! You may think this is “Old Technology”, but not at all. This works just fine for me. I just want a washer that cleans clothes, and don’t need fancy computer readout, Wi-Fi, talks back to you , a million cycles and complicated programming . . . . “Just clean the clothes”, that’s it! This washer actually fills your tub with water to wash and rinse the clothes, pretty novel idea, right! I am VERY happy with this machine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing to have with a toddler in the house Got this a couple of months ago and I have used it daily for baby clothes and toys. It has some noise but it's well worth it. My dad is a truck driver and usually anything from his truck has to be run twice to get all the axle grease out of them and the smell of diesel but I have done several loads of laundry for him with this washer and they come clean in the first run every time. the prestain treatment has saved multiple pieces of clothing from both the toddler and my fathers abilities to find new stain makers. I love that there's enough room to put actual bedding in and it has a bulky setting that lets me wash my mothers comforters and everyones pillows. My family has started coming over to use it since it's so big that it can do things like big comforters without any trouble and there's no leftover soap anywhere on them. it has also cut down my dryers run time with how well it wrings the water out at the end of the cycle. I can't say enough about this washer and I love how the lid locks down when it's running and doesn't unlock until it fully stops so I don't have to worry about someone opening it during a cycle and I always know where it is at during a cycle, guess work is gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the flexability of cycle and water level Clothes are easy to access, come up very clean and spun dry. The large capacity handles a blanket well. Did not want a front loader because of the extra large size. This machine with the narrow agitator works great. Does not lock until the spin cycle and you can adjust the water level.. It is perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sensor Washing, worst thing ever !!!! I tried out this machine for 1 month, today it is being picked up and returned. Sensor washing, low water and slow agitation may be the new breakthrough, but nothing beats being able to adjust the water level you want to use, or how long you want to wash your items. I tried small loads where the sensor sensed no clothes inside and shut down twice on me. I tried 2 down jackets, bulky but light, even with the deep water button pushed, it wouldn't cover the jackets, not just a low water treatment, half way up, hardly wetting the complete jackets. Forget about ever giving a very soiled item a vigorous washing or soaking, not going to happen. To sum it up, try to stick with a machine without sensors, one with control on water levels, timers, soaking, and agitation control. You don't need to hear music when buttons are pushed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Water fill level - no control Washer controls the water fill level it does not even cover the amount of clothes put in washer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No water in washer. I gave it two stars because all of these new HE ( high efficiency ) washers are no good. They don't throw any water. The lid locks and you cannot add any more water. If at any point you would like to add water you must grab a bucket or your water hose and fill that up to your desired level. My washer has a pause button which will then allow me to open up the washer lid. My wife really hates this washer but I just bought it has been over 30 days so we cant return it. Buy an older washer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not like the water saver feature I have had this 2 months and wish I had my old one back!! The water saver feature does not allow enough water to come in to wash a twin blanket my old one would do a king comforter just fine! I had to wash that blanket 3 times costing more water soap and electric. When I called to make sure I was using the correct settings I was told yes and the person I spoke to agreed with me on it! But it is not just GE they all work the same I am told! Not made for blankets or large loads
