Rated 1 out of 5 by from I hate this washing machine. We purchased this washing machine in April 2016, after doing extensive research. I cannot say how disappointed we are. We have a GE Profile washer at another home that has worked fine for 12 years. This new model is so lightweight that I cannot wash one set of sheets without it getting out of balance. (And we are sure that it is level.) Why make a machine that plays music but can't wash a medium size load of clothes without making terrible noises and having to re-adjust the position of the clothes during the cycle? I am terribly disappointed in the quality of this washer. Put less money in your marketing campaign and more into building a quality machine that does the job. I will be replacing this machine as soon as possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great washer build on a time tested platform I've been wanting another "harmony" style machine for a while and was able to get this at a great price. I have 2 washers and dryers. This one replaced my functioning front load machine that I've hated. This unit has all the benefits of a front load washer without the drawbacks of the balancing, poor washing, and musty smells that front load machines typically have. My other washer is a GE Harmony model whose design has stood the test of time since the model was introduced in 2002. I like that it saves water and power yet still manages to wash well. It's also one of few washers large enough to wash sheets, comforters, and pillows. The other great thing is that this washer is made in America, so not only do I get a great product, but I get to support my fellow Americans

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this washer! We bought this washer after MUCH research done online and also going out looking. We had a Home Warranty (AHS) & because our Samsung was 10 years old, the part needed for our non-working washer could not be obtained. AHS said "we will replace your washer"! We did pay an Upgrade fee of $209 to get this one. We had previously had a front loader and did not want another. This washer had all the features I wanted such as Speedwash, Extra rinse & Soak. So far (2 weeks in) it is SUPER quiet..which we LOVE. I love everything about it except ONE feature. IF you want to add Fabric softener you MUST press the DEEP RINSE option or your fabric softener will NOT go anywhere. This option adds about 9 minutes to your cycle. Outside of that, I really like how the clothing and towels and bedding wash up. Very well spun so they dry quick!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor washing This machine damaged our clothing leaving white or light streaks on the washed items. Women's under garments do not get wet so the don't get clean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works ok with small loads, but not large or bulky This is my first "high/energy efficiency" (i.e., non-agitator) washer. I bought it primarily for the large capacity in order to wash bedding & king size comforters. The problem with this washer is that the water level is never high enough to cover bulky items leaving dirt and soap all over them and there is no control option to adjust the water level (the machine "senses" the load size and allocates a pre-programmed water level). Apparently all of these washers (all brands, not limited to GE) have the same "high efficiency" drawbacks. So I recommend sticking with an older technology agitator washer (with a user select-able water level) if you want to actually get your items clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Washing Experience I went from a small top load machine with an agitator and zero technology to an extra large capacity high efficiency machine with lots of sensing capability, so I am learning along the way. Something seemed off with the water level when I did the first 2 loads. I knew the water level would be low so I ignored my intuition for the first load. I also ignored the "H2O Supply" indicator (but that's because I needed to change the corroded faucets, or at least I thought). Those clothes came out bunched into balls and highly wrinkled. Seemed cleaned though so I left it go. But when it started to happen in the second load, I went to the GE website to see if I could find some advice. Sure enough, there was a trouble shooting video that seemed to fit my predicament - the tub filling and emptying at the same time. I went through the video and found out that the drain hose was shoved too far into the drain pipe, creating a syphoning effect. Gave the hose a little tug to install it to the proper length and voila! My tub now fills to an adequate level and I actually have suds.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I do like the buttons and ease of controlls. I read, when looking for the washer a previous review about their clothes coming out with gray stripes on them. Well, the clothes do. I can't explain them, but some do rub out. It is like lint builds up on certain parts of the clothes. I have now opted to wash the majority of my clothes inside out. Also, I have never had a top load washer before, and man, do clothes come out wrinkled. Certain clothes do not go in dryer, and now I find I am spending more time ironing then anything else. I just wish I would have stuck with a front load wash instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best washer and matching dryer I have every owned! I love the lighting features in both the washer and dryer. You can see the progress of your clothes being washed and dried. Great. They are both huge. You can put pillows or comforters in them with no issues. I love the pair. I, also, like the feature where you put the detergent and softener in cups, and they are automatically dispensed. It is hard to believe, but this pair has made doing laundry an easy job. Doing laundry isn't a job anymore. Very attractive in appearance, as well.
