Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Features ; Great Value We purchased this dryer 4 months ago. It joined a GE top load washer ( model #2800DOWS) we purchased 5 years ago. The washer was an excellent choice for us - good features, flawless operation, excellent value. When the time came to replace our old dryer, we decided to look for a GE product that would be a companion to our washer. I researched the GE dryer offerings and selected the dryer we purchased based on features we wanted, in the price range that I thought would give us good value, and where other purchasers found a high level of satisfaction. Just as with our washer, we found that we got a combination of good features, flawless operation, and excellent value. On top of all that functionality and value, the new dryer almost looks like the companion model to our washer even though they differ in age by 5 years. We would definitely buy this dryer again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed 2 Days After Warranty Expiration I dryer failed after just over one year. Cost to repair exceed the value of the dryer so we had to buy a new one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked as expected It was purchased Jan 2017 and returned Feb 2017 because it was bought with the matching washer, which was just awful. The dryer worked as expected, nothing fancy, nothing wrong, other than I didn't want to keep this dryer since I was returning the washer (they were purchased as a set). One down side was the lint trap was flimsy and if not aligned perfectly was difficult to put back in after cleaning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super quiet I just bought this dryer and it is very quiet. Easy to use and the drum is spacious. I have a Crafstman style cottage and the area to the laundry would only allow 27". GE was recommended to me as they have a large selection in this size. Thank you GE for being considerate of consumers in older homes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dryer I bought this dryer in Dec 2016 and love it. Basic dryer no frills no touch touch screen. It's perfect. My clothes dry it's not noisy . It's really all a person needs and The dryer has a reasonable price tag. I prefer the no frills aspect of the dryer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed Purchased this dryer w/ washer Thursday 3/23/17. Both were installed Tues. 3/28/17. Washed 1st load, opened dryer and light bulb exploded. Attempted to contact GE, explained situation, purchase info etc., online "support" wanted me to 1st guestimate age of machine and 2nd wanted to know if I was going to do the work myself. After responding "what work" and explaining again what had happened she was going to connect me with a tech. All I had to do was enter my cc info for a $5.00 refundable good faith pmt. At this point my "light bulb" had exploded so I called store where purchased. A very nice young man named Sean took my info and called me back to let me know someone would call me tomorrow. So now I have a load of wet clothes sitting in the washer, (several pieces) until... bummer

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GE Dryer I've used one day only. So far, so good. I would recommend just because its easy to use and the price was excellent. Didn't want a big fancy expensive dryer and this is in the middle and we love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Average I bought this dryer in a pinch and because at the time it was a rock bottom price. The dryer has all the features I need in a dryer and functions fine regarding heating and timing. Had I explored the product in person at the store, I may have realized that, although it has all basic needed features, it's a little on the cheap side as far as the size and feel of the buttons and nobs. I am having issues with it starting, the door needs to latch very firmly and it doesn't do that on its own unless I purposefully lean on it. It usually takes a few tries to get it to turn on. I would recommend this product if you can get a good price and don't care to be all that fancy, but I am going to see if I can get my door issue looked at when I have the time.
