Rated 4 out of 5 by from GE has some of the best quality products I love gas and have wanted one for years. My wife bought this for me as our 50th anniversary present. It is very heavy indicating it is well built. It is a 30 inch range so the middle burner/grille is a little small. At first I was confused by two different types of controls for the ovens. (Upper) Uses a mechanical valve and igniter, you turn the knob for the desired temperature. (Lower) Has an electronic display in the middle of the stove. Offers all the features that only electronic panels can provide. Now for the negatives: The adjustable legs on the bottom are hard to adjust and they do not slide well on the floor. I have marks from just sliding the stove into the cabinet. I got one of the newest models and it has a manufacturing error. Instead of the Upper oven control being labeled as "Upper" it is labeled "Lower". GE service has order two replacements but both were wrong. They are on their third attempt. See photo below.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but install could be a problem I love the look and feel of this stove. It's gorgeous, works very well and is the jewel in the kitchen. That said, the architecture of the back panel leaves something to be desired. Our gas supply line came out of the floor on the right side of the stove cavity, but this particular unit is designed only for the gas line to come out of the floor on the left. We had to pay a guy to come out and move our gas line out of the way on order to not have a 4-6" gap behind the stove. Even so, we have about a 1" gap today, and that's after installing a recessed outlet to get the plug out of the way. You may want to check the placement of your gas line before purchasing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so great I always wanted double ovens and this looked great. I had a convection electric oven with gas range before this for 14 years. My cookies always turned out great in my old convection oven. But this GE oven was disappointing. 1. The cookies got burnt- even using the convection feature 2. We had to replace the Oven lights twice in two years. 3. The upper oven gets heated up when the lower one is in use. 4. I could bake three racks of cookies in my old oven, this one will take only two rack. 5. It comes with just one rack in each oven. 6. Volume seems to be less -even in the big bottom oven 7. I end up using the bottom oven most of the time - since it has more space. I can't imagine bending down each time when I'm in my 60s or have arthritis or knee issues. 8. The front controls are very sensitive. Often, I have leaned over to use the back burner and started off the Oven controls! 9. A number of times, I started the lower oven when I had the casserole to cook in the top oven! You have to be careful. 10. I had Scratch marks on the cook top after the first month of use. I use it so carefully. 11. I do most of my stove top on an induction cooktop (so this range is not used at all except the ovens!). Overall, I am very disappointed. It is very expensive and I'm not happy with my baking. I don't recommend this oven. It looks great on the pictures for those who want the look of double ovens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Stuff is Awesome!!!!! So i had a microwave that hadnt cleaned in at least a year. Gross i know. Every time i looked in there i dreaded the thought of cleaning it. As you can tell in the before pictures (top and bottom left) it was a disaster zone. But with this magic stuff it wasn't even fives minutes til my microwave looked like new. I sprayed it in there and waited two minutes. I wiped it down worth a soft sponge and then dried it. And now look at that microwave!! :) Now on to my range, I'm writing this review as I'm cleaning. So far I'm letting it sit for five minutes because there is a ton of grease splatter. Five minutes are done. So i use the sponge and paper towel. This stuff is awesome!! Take a look at the before and after pictures. Top and bottom left are before. Top right is in the process and bottom right is after (keep in mind the brown/black rings around the burners are scorch marks, they can't be cleaned off). I love love love this stuff!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why the bad griddle design? This is an excellent range for the price. I chose it because of the two ovens. I want to get rid of my toaster oven (which takes up counter space in my small kistchen and is also very energy inefficient). But the griddle is so obviously poorly designed -- so far, that is my principal disappointment. Eliminate the grooves down the side. We are not a pancacke eating household, so will use the griddle only for other cooking. We would cook scrambled eggs daily on the griddle, except that they dribble down into the side channels. What a mess to clean up. Higher-end ranges have griddles with only the front and/or rear reservoir for grease, etc.--no need for these side channels! Change it up, GE. I have also had trouble with the oven. I will buy a thermometer and test it--so far, my recipes take significantly longer at called-for temps than in my old range. Cookies that are supposed to cook in 10-12 minutes take almost twice that long. Even when I use convection, the times are too long. Weird.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice gas burners but problems This range looks great, the double oven is something I always wanted and that's why I bought this product. I love the high-BTU burner: it's outstanding and boils water in no time! There are good things about this product and there are some issues. I bought this oven in December, 2014 and it's had three major problems so far: As soon as I bought it, the bottom oven would not light properly. The entire oven would fill with gas and then ignite with a boom and flash of flame. The problem was that the glow coil was too far away from the gas outlet at the bottom of the oven. In January, 2017, the circuit board blew out and the entire oven died. Just today, 2/11/2017, the bottom oven stopped working!!! This is just a week after having the oven fixed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One epic baking fail after another What better time to write a review that when you're exhausted, out of patience and have just ruined another perfectly good load of ingredients on a failed attempt in this high priced "all that" range? It's obvious after my tried and true recipes flop time and again that the temperature on both ovens is waaay out of line. I read the "biscuit test" with disbelief and disdain....really? If the biscuits aren't done, you need to calibrate? No kidding, Captain Obvious? How about you calibrate the darn thing in the factory before shipping it out? Grrr...So we find how to recalibrate, ok. Glad to find handy steps on how to do that. However, there's NO clue as to how to arrive at a true temperature other than the aforementioned "biscuit test". There's a friendly warning NOT to use a "grocery store" oven thermometer. What should I use GEnius? My HAND? Oh I know... I can bake 15 cans of biscuits adding 5 degrees to each batch times two ovens...yeah, I'll get right on that. Grrr...

Can I use this with propane gas?

Asked by: Rkay
Hi Rkay- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing our Café Series! Yes, this range will operate on LP gas. This range leaves the factory set for use with Natural gas. If you want to convert to LP gas, the conversion must be preformed by a qualified LP gas installer. The LP gas conversion kit and instructions are included with the range. Thanks for checking with us!
