Rated 4 out of 5 by JTmommy Great looks
I just had it installed and was excited to start using it. My french toast came out OK but... I cooked on the right front burner and was under impression the gas was too low. Otherwise it looks great, seems like it's well made and easy to clean due to flat surface. I like the lit knobs :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by jyoti i am disappointed.
i bought this because of good reviewsbut the flame does not reach the pots because of height of the crates.i bought 2 days ago and went back to supplier if they can take it back even with restocking fee. and they refused it . it takes long time to cook
i am really disappointed because i use alot for cooking.i use to have ge profile and was very happy with it. Is there any thing you can Do? either take it back or crates that are lawer if you can provide.
Looking forward for a favourable answer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BabbyN Great Size - not too big nor too small
We bought this appliance for our new home. I love the variable burners, the option of the griddle, and the easy cleanup! Love it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by NJFam cooktop too high from flame
We should have paid more attention to the reviewer that stated the flame was too far. Despite the responses that said otherwise, the grates are way too far above the flame. This causes not just a waste of gas, but the pot handles get very, very hot due to the escape of heat along the sides, and the kitchen also gets very hot in the summer, especially if you have multiple burners on simultaneously. If GE would address this issue, I would have immediately given it a 5 star rating, but at this point we have told friends and family not to purchase this model and to pay close attention to other models that they are considering. Since purchasing this model, I have been to several houses that have gas cooktops from other manufacturers, and many of them have better clearances. Unfortunately for us, it's too late. I urge GE to make a new, lower grate and would even be willing to purchase it. It looks great and has plenty of nice features, but if you actually want to cook, look elsewhere. Rated 1 out of 5 by Vicki21 Difficult
The GE Cafe Series was installed by the builder of our new home - I had no choice with the GE line of appliances (gas cooktop; dish washer; electric wall oven; microwave; ventilator hood). At first I was very excited because these are "supposed" to be top of the line products but now I'm so disappointed I wish I could rip each and everyone out & install another brand.
The gas cooktop takes forever to heat a pot or pan - the grills are too high above the burners which makes heating a pan a very long process; the burners are NOT sealed and spills will seep beneath them; the control knobs are located on top & center and interfere with cooking; the stainless steel is difficult to clean. After each meal the entire cook top needs to be disassembled in order to be cleaned, which is so time consuming & difficult.
Overall this is a "difficult" cook top. I miss my glass induction cooktop which was easy to maintain and I didn't have to take 30 minutes to clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by player hard to clean due to weight of the grills
Middle burner works intermittently but over all its pretty dependable sturdy and fine looking. Need to to make the burner much lighter particularly for ladies or the elderly.

Love the brisk start up and the burner for simmering as well as the one for big pots, it boils water so quickly!
