Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOISIEST dishwasher I have ever used! This dishwasher was, incredibly, an "upgrade" for the appliances in out brand new home. In this open concept, the television volume had to be doubled to be audible over the high pitched whine of the motor of the dishwasher. It is the kind of whine that makes dogs' ears hurt and gives a person a headache. After calling GE, we learned that the entire dishwasher was plastic and not at all noise insulated. We chose to remove the brand new dishwasher and donate it, and to replace it with another brand whose noise rating was almost 10 Db better. Don't buy it. Water/washing noise is one thing, motor noise is altogether different.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Came with the purchase of our condo I am disappointed with this dishwasher and wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for a new or replacement product. I find it very noisy, poorly designed (if you have one row of dinner-sized plates, salad plates or bowls don't fit into the second row as it is too tight and they hit each other during the wash cycle), and the 'normal' cycle takes forever to process. Certainly doesn't seem energy efficient. Also, items are still wet, even after using the dry cycle. I may replace it with another company's product eventually.
