Rated 2 out of 5 by from GE Dishwasher provided by Dorn Homes Within the first few weeks of use I noticed the door wouldn't close properly. The latch on the top inside frame and noticed it was bent. A design flaw IMO is to have the silverware in the front of the bottom tray which impedes the door from closing. Forks, and knives did not fit into the slots for the tray and the were useless so I removed them. It would be better to have this silverware tray along the side of the bottom rack. This is a noisy dishwasher and takes about 2 hours to complete a cycle and is an energy waster. Be prepared to wipe the stainless as all stainless shows spots and stains but looks good when it's clean. On a positive note, the controls are on the top and are hidden, the dishes are clean, and the price is reasonable. But if you want quality vs. price save your money and upgrade to another brand. Unfortunately this wasn't allowed when we bought our home so I guess I'll have to wait until it breaks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke in Less Than a Year This is the second GE dishwasher installed by a builder that I have had issues with. It cleans okay but now pump is extremely loud and I need to call for service.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrating dishwasher Who would have thought after years of never having to do it that you'd have to run your faucet with hot water before running dishwasher to get the dishes clean. Bought a new house and this dishwasher came with it. Ran two loads of dishes and both times had to run cycle twice. What a lot of extra energy for an energy efficient appliance. I have never had to run hot water before and I've owned many dishwashers. I have since mentioned my frustration to other people, to find that it's true. Why make something that requires an extra step? Frustrating to say the least. I'm going to check with other brands to see if that's their method, also. Other than that, dishes are great after cycle is complete.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Designed for those who like hand washing Many things we dislike about this dishwasher. A picture is worth a thousand words. It's loud too!! Besides being loud and poor at cleaning the dishes it seems to be designed to minimize the number of dishes you can load into it. The utensil holder is badly located and if you actually load it with utensils, the soap drawer probably won't open. Automatic dishwashers have been common in households for close to half a century. GE is an icon of American industry, thus you might be tempted to assume that nothing could go wrong buying a GE dishwasher. That would be an unfounded assumption because this is a bad dishwasher.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dishwasher We bought this dishwasher because apparently it was the only one that would fit our custom cabinets. It's great to have a dishwasher, but this is one of the worst I've ever used. I literally have to wash my dishes by hand before placing them inside. One day my mother in law was coming over and I needed to clear up the sink, so I just quickly rinsed all the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. When it was done I wasn't surprised 90% of them needed to be rewashed. Lately I've noticed that the soap doesn't fully dissolve, so after the load is washed 80% of the time I have to set it on the rinse cycle after running its normal cycle. The only problem with this is that I have to wait a really long time for the dishes to dry or I have to dry them by hand. It's kind of loud and has actually scarred me a few times. An hour and a half after starting the dishwasher one might forget until a loud noise is heard..lol! Overall if you pre-wash the dishes, wait for them 2 hours to wash, set a second rinse cycle, and then let them dry or dry them by hand it's a good dishwasher that looks really good. A pro is that the buttons are on the inside. I also read on other reviews that it's better to run the sink water on hot until it gets hot and then start the dishwasher. Somebody also said that the utensil caddy can be set on the right side so that the soap actually dispenses and dissolves. I hope my experience with this dishwasher improves after I try these things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dishwasher! This dishwasher cleans the best of any I've had until now! Never a problem with food left on dishes....does a great job! and spot free if you use the finish liquid. I love that the buttons are inside the top of the door--we have a 2 year old that loves to push buttons and it's a pain to have to lock everything to keep him from starting the dishwasher! Very happy with this dishwasher!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GDT535PSJSS automatic dishwasher and GE review This came with the house & is smaller than I'd like. I like the silverware holders, but they pop off frequently when unloading. The soap has not distributed fully several times. The dishwasher takes too long to dry, and turns on lights/beeps too easily whenever closing the door after inserting a new dish. BOO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Quiet! Our dishwasher came with our new home. We had a GE dishwasher in our apartment and it was very noisy and the detergent drawer didn't open half of the time. We love our new dishwasher. The dishes are clean, uses less detergent and is super quiet!
