Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Microwave We unfortunately got some metal wrapped up in a heat pack we were warming and destroyed our old GE Profile microwave. It was a model JE2160 and served us wonderfully for 7 years. This one is essentially the exact same oven in the newest version. The great thing you will find if you are replacing an older GE Profile is that the trim kit has not changed. The old one fit the new one perfectly, thus saving over $200 for a new trim kit. Thank you GE! The only reason this one does not get 5 stars is it makes more noise than our old one. It is not obnoxious or a big deal, but this new model definitely has a noticeably louder sound when running than the older model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits the prior Trim Kit My 7 year old GE Monogram ZE2160SF quit working entirely. The GE site says my existing trim kit JX2130SH would not work with the newer model PEB7226SFSS and would have to order the new one. The measurements were virtually the same (one was off 1/8"), so I figured I would try using the old trim kit first. The newer model fit the old trim kit perfectly. Every hole lined up exactly the same. The installation was quick and easy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lemon This model has just died on us for the 3rd time in less than 3 years. First was just prior to warranty expiring. Second was a costly, out-of-pocket repair shortly thereafter. And now, a third breakdown will put our repair cost at about the cost of buying a new microwave. Funny, I read some GE responses to other reviews of this product, and they say how unusual the problems are with it, but they really say it an awful lot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds expectations Reviewed many review sites, hand-on inspections, this model avoids all the " bells and whistles" and focuses on quality and aesthetic. Once installed with the ge built in kit , I found the kit to be excellent except for the face plate which is made of plastic and degrades the overall appearance enough I replaced it a custom aluminum piece. Operation is flawless. Highly recommend

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works great...when it isnt broken... The design and the functionality are great, but the plastic interior parts and the poorly designed magnetron gate to the cooking section keep failing. The microwave has had to be repaired three times and replaced twice. I am thankful for the customer service and repair work, but would prefer a microwave that didn't have to be repaired.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stop heating after 18 month use MOST Terrible microwave ever had. It stops heating after14 month for a couple of days. By then after several level 1-10 testing running, it worked again with bigger noise, but acceptable as long as it heats. Now, it totally stopped heating regardless. Horrible quality and unfortunate default option by my builder.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok This was the choice for our new home. It lasted 14 months and was just as expensive to fix as to purchase a new one. Worked fine, just not for very long. I only purchased another one so as to match the trim kit that was installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2nd one in 2 years that failed First one died after 14 months. Second one started acting up (control panel acting randomly psychotic) after 3 months. The QA must be non-existent on these things.
