Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love how induction cooks First time using induction, had to replace my last GE ceramic cook top which was 15 years old! Sad to see it go but was happy to be getting induction. Positive attributes: heats quickly, temperature controlled quickly, even cooking. Negative attributes: black glass drives me nuts because it shows everything, seems more fragile than my existing GE ceramic and it definitely makes buzzing and crackly noises when heating up - not a big deal but consumers should know. The largest burner is really too big - bigger than my largest pasta pot so a bit useless. I would have preferred it have two separate rings of cooking in it - I noticed if I put a smaller pot on this burner the water doesn't boil as rapid. I guess I would have rated excellent but I really would have preferred regular knobs - the electronic touch controls are annoying in that anytime I put something on the cooktop it beeps and the extra noise in an already noisy world is sometimes annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GE Induction Cooktop Profile Series This is the SECOND GE Induction Cooktop we have bought for new homes we've built. After having one in our last home, it was an easy decision about getting one for this next house. I love it in every way! The temperature control is even more precise than gas, and it cleans up way easier than a gas stove. I love to cook, and induction is my first choice. This has been a very reliable cooktop. We had NO service issues with our first stove in all the years we had it, and I expect the same with this new stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great I have used this for 3 months. This one is a big improvement over my radiant cooktop. Very easy to clean, very responsive controlled cooking so my pots and pans clean up easily. My cooking skills have greatly improved. I'm very happy with it and so glad I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Fast We have only had this replacement to an older electric cooktop for about two weeks. So far--can't believe the difference between standard cooktop and induction. Like other reviews--prep now is done before putting on the burner. We absolutely love this cooktop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cooking surface This is a good looking cooktop that works better than anything I've used before. It heats up faster than gas and cooks very evenly. I would never buy an electric coil cooktop again. This is the only way to go!

Can I use this cooktop if I have a pacemaker. I would like to purchase while on sale?

Asked by: Joan
Hello Joan. This is Lida with GE Appliances. We recommend using caution when using or standing near an induction cooktop while it is in operation. The electromagnetic field may affect the working of the pacemaker or similar medical device. It is advisable to consult your doctor or the pacemaker manufacturer about your particular situation. I'm glad you checked with us.
