Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes me want to cook more! Finally updated my hodgepodge late 80s-early 90s kitchen with a full GE profile stainless steel kitchen suite: fridge, diswasher, range, & over the range convection-microwave and am so happy! This range looks so slick and it goes with the new streamlined, modern esthetic of the kitchen. I love the fact that the range top extends over slightly so that it covers the "crumb gap" between counter and range--makes for easy clean up. The only caution is that with the ceramic glass cooktop, copper-bottomed and iron cast cookware is not recommended due to scratch-risk. So I had to retire 3 of my much loved and used cookware. Features I like: burner size variation on the range allows for efficient heating of multiple-sized cookware, no messy knobs to get "sticky" or clean around, warming drawer has removable insert for easy cleanup, and love that the oven includes 2 removable shelves and bottom "fixed" shelf is on gliding mechanism that makes for easy movement. There's a meat probe feature that I've yet to try, but even if I never use it, I still feel I made a sound investment product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Range! We bought our range almost 2 years ago. It is very beautiful and matches well with the GE microwave oven. Though I have yet to use the convection setting, the oven and stove heat very well. Since the stovetop is glass, it is easy to clean with available cleaners. I like the hold button so that when cleaning, you don't accidentally turn on the burners when cleaning. I love all of the burners, with the option to change sizes on those that can do it. The range bottom drawer serves as a warmer if you choose to do so. We have not done that but have used as storage for now. The oven is wonderfully big, and I love the heavy duty racks. The bottom rack does not come out, and is very sturdy. The racks can be left in for the oven clean. I have used the steam clean twice. This is helpful for cleaning up small spills. Recently I used the 4 hour self clean. It cleaned very well, with a few wipe ups afterwards of the ashes left behind. My only complaint is that after I used the self clean, my oven got so hot that it ruined the handle attachment to the oven causing the silver film to loosen from both sides of the handle. I will be contacting my warranty for further information on whether this can be fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slide in range I love the range we purchased as a full kitchen remodel this year. It is stainless steel which I love, the cooktop is easy to clean. I love the solid surface, the warming drawer, the regular/convection oven options. The burners are great for a solid surface; they function well, heat up fast and cool down. I'm very impressed. The one thing is that the oven thermometer seems to be off and we will have to get it adjusted. I noticed when moving from 325 to 375 degrees that the temperature had already been reached when changing. This can be very detrimental for temperamental cooking such as flans or cheesecakes which need to be maintained at a lower temp for a longer period of time. But overall I like the oven.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Elegant This range looks outstanding. Go very well with the rest of my GE Profile appliances (dishwasher, range microwave, and refrigerator). I do have one problem with it, the touch panel takes a little getting use to. A manual nob for the temperature setting can be turned smoothly and quickly but pushing a button seems very slow and clucky. However, cleaning the smooth touch panel is very easy. The feature I like the most is the oven probe thermometer. At first I did not trust the accuracy and used my trusty food thermometer. However, after several uses, the oven probe is pretty much spot on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice I bought this a month ago and liked a lot of the features but there are some annoying things, too. Pro. 1. I like the fact it has 3 racks and I am happy with the capacity 2. I am able to clean the glass top with class top stove cleaner. 3. The stove is able to boil water pretty fast Con. 1. The placement of the control is not very good. If I lean over to stir something on the burner, it will turn off/on something. I think the oven gets turned off by accident often while I am cooking on the stove top. 2. I am unable to use the oven when the control pad locked is on. If I lock the control pad, it shuts everything off (including the oven). It will be nice if I can have the oven on while the stove control are off. My old range, I was able to use the stove top to shape my bread or put custard in the custard bowls while the oven is pre-heating. 3. I just did my first cleaning (I have this range for one month now) and some of the paint inside the oven and oven door are peeling. I am waiting for GE support to call me back on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid features, attractive unit. Bought range, microwave, and refrigerator for new retirement house. Minimum requirements for range was had to be electric with slide-in in stainless. Had GE Profile refrig in previous home which we liked very much so decided on all GE Profile appliances in new home. Range has very easy clean cooktop and warming tray a nice upgrade. Slide-in very attractive and keeps area clean. very pleased so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buy the extended warranty/guarantee From the first time I used the stove top it started leaving white pixels on all the burners! It's still functioning, but looks gross. I figured I'd have to "fight" to get any satisfaction of replacement, so I ignored the problem & I'm living with it. I really hate the ugly appearance, but since the burners are heating up, I'll live with it but won't ever purchase another GE brand appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice modern style Love the touch screen controls, sleek look, and overhang of the glass top over the granite countertop. Like all smooth tops they require cleaning after almost ever use to keep them looking nice but there's no knobs and no place for food to get trapped so it's easier than most. Buy the induction version if you can afford the extra cost, that's the only thing we would change.
