Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing control I had done extensive research anticipating we were going to need to replace our electric range when it failed, two days after Christmas. With a house full of guests arriving momentarily, for a week in the mountains, and 2 refrigerators full of food, I lamented the timing, I knew the GE Profile series induction range was the best but the cost at that moment felt prohibitive and we needed a range delivered immediately. My husband insisted there would be no compromise and the GE Profile Series induction range was delivered the next day. But for a couple of instances when I needed to flip the curcuit breaker on & off to reset the electronics because of a power surge it has exceeded my very high expectations. The response and minutiae temperature control of the stove revivals the finest gas tops and the oven bakes, broils and roasts to perfection both traditionally and using convection. Plus 3 or more hours of pizza making or baking does not result in the kitchen being an oven!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beats gas and a lot safer We have had our new GE induction range for 3 months and can not find a negative thing to say about it. We have learned very quickly how to use induction and it is what they say it is, fast, and safe. We are building our retirement home elder ready and this is a plus for us, safe , no red burner or gas, shuts off when there is no pot on the burner. Controls are soft touch and can easily be trued on without knowing but GE has a shut off built in to shut down the controls. Lots of safety features, boils quickly, oven is great, love the roll out oven shelve and the overall quality is excellent. The flat glass top is another plus as it is easy to clean. If you think gas is the only way to cook, then you need to try this stove. All of the big gas stove guys are now coming out with theirs and they are mucho bucks more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GE has met expections with their new induction. After waiting several months for the release of this stove, I am happy to say we are not disappointed. We had been reading about induction for sometime and my husband and I decided GE was the right decision to compliment our new kitchen. The three shelves in the oven work great with convection and allow cooking of several items a once. We had already done the tiling and counter and were hoping this oven had the built in fill at the back and it did. No modifications were needed. Fits just right with the adjustable legs. We did not have to put in the stabilizer clamp provided. As others comment, the water boils significantly faster that with my prior electric range and the warming drawer works like a champ. The only negative is the plain solid black top. To keep the top looking sparkly, it does require using the cleaning product after each use or any moisture left from wiping up a spill or spatter with a clean dish cloth or paper towel shows up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Induction stove - AWESOME! We've only had this range for a week or so, so I can't speak to reliability or durability, but I can talk about the performance. I've never used an induction cooktop before. I love gas but hate the cleanup and don't really like normal electric glass cooktops - stuff really cooks onto the surface. This stove was a revelation. It's every bit as quick and direct as gas, but I think even more powerful, because the heat is coming through the entire bottom of the pan, not just where the flame hits. I put on a can of soup on the high setting, turned around to do something at the sink, heard a suspicious sound, turned around, and the soup was at a full boil. Maybe two minutes - amazing. And then I turned it down to a simmer and it dropped off of the boil instantly. My wife is still moving pots off of the burner out of habit - I'm trying to convince her she doesn't need to. And if food spills on the burners, it doesn't cook on, so cleanup is incredibly easy.  I'm totally sold on induction. Seems like the best of all possible worlds...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOORAY! My family finally eats dinner!!! AWESOME! I must say, I have never been one to enjoy cooking and never thought I would but WOW was I wrong! This oven has truly been so amazing and I am just shocked at how precise the entire oven works. It fits so nice and clean into our kitchen and brings a more sophisticated look which that alone is appealing, but when I first turned on the oven, I was impressed with how fast it preheated and how fast just a pot of water began to boil! I am serious when I say that I have started cooking more for my family (which of course they like) because without any other way to describe it, this oven just makes me happy! I especially like how you don't have to lean over hot burners to turn knobs when cooking and that there aren't any knobs anyways! That is huge for me because I never felt capable of cleaning my old oven real good since the knobs would never really come clean (Severe OCD hinders my ability to accept things which are not problematic but in my mind seem to be). I'm even baking stuff like cakes which anyone who knows me well can testify how very out of character that is for me. Not any more. Folks, if you are seriously looking to purchase a new oven, I do hope you will really consider this exact model. I don't work for any companies, nor am I anything more than a housewife who cares for four boys and a husband so I hope you will keep that in mind when searching for your next oven because from my experience and genuine opinion, you will not be disappointed with this one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fast and easy cooking We really wanted an induction stove that slid in, and this fit the bill. It cooks great with fast heat up and cook times versus regular electric glass cook tops. It has 5 burners also! Stove turns off instantly when you take the pan away. My only complaint is that it's too easy to turn on the stove controls when wiping the stove down and just leaning on the front control panel. Since the burners won't turn on without a magnetic pan, this is not a big deal, but just a minor annoyance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THE GOOD NEWS AND THE BAD NEWS The Good News and the Bad News Two days ago, my wife and I had the GE PHS920SF2SS induction electric slide in range installed in our home. It's beautiful! We have not had a range in over a month. The reason for the long wait, we couldn't decide between a competing manufacturer's electric induction slide in range and the GE electric induction slide in range. We picked the GE based on the availability of GE's authorized repair service in our area and GE's reputation for reliability. The competing manufacturer's authorized repair company would have to travel over 100 miles one way from Columbia, SC to Charleston, SC for repairs. GE has local authorized repair technicians in Charleston. However, we didn't think we would need GE's repair service so soon. We boiled several pots of water just to test the power boil burner. It worked great. Then, we decided to bake some biscuits. That's when we realized the "door lock" light for the oven was on and would not shut off whether the oven door was open or closed. The door lock light code prevents the operation of the oven even though the oven door is not really locked. We read the manual back to front for troubling shooting tips and googled for more troubleshooting help. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So now, we have a GE repair technician coming to our home only 3 days after the range was installed. The good news: we don't have to wait 2 weeks for a competitor's authorized repair technician. The bad news: The GE PHS920SF2SS went down only 4 hours after installation. Update: It's been 4 days since my review above. GE repair technicians have twice attempted to repair our new range. The oven continues to malfunction. No biscuits yet!
