Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love converting to French door style This was a replacement for my old GE side-by-side. Much more room in both refrigerator and freezer sections, especially in the freezer. And, I didn't have to give up my in-the-door ice & water dispenser. An almost a necessity, as my dogs are conditioned to running to the kitchen when they hear me get ice, as they love to chomp on pieces and come running and barking to get theirs! Having owned a GE before, the noise issue noted by others was not a problem for me, as I was used to it making lots of "R2D2 noises." I don't find it overly loud. Just minor background noise most of the time. Only complaint so far (owned it for 2 months now), and it's truly a minor one, is the door to the butter compartment in the right hand door. The lip on the door needs to stick out a tad more, as it's sometimes hard to grasp, especially if you have something in your hand that you want to put in there. Overall, I'm very happy with it. Time will tell on things like reliability, maintenance, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features We bought this refrigerator about 2 months ago and I really do love it. At first, it took me some time to get used to not having the depth of space that was in my side by side refrig, but now that I have been through a holiday party and just normal day to day usage, I really love it.. I love the brightness of the led lighting and I also love the flexiblility that it allows one to have...moving and changing shelves, and all of the things that you can put on the doors that puts thing right there for easy getting to. I also love the sturdiness of the freezer drawers, as many that I looked at were flimsy covered wires. I was concerned about the small ice cube area on the door, but we have found that it is fine for everyday usage and if we want more ice that we just plan and make some cubes ahead and store them in plastic bags in the freezer drawer. We opted not to buy the extra iemaker for the freezer drawer,as we wanted the extra space for frozen foods.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Noisy, very noisy Purchased this refrigerator, along with a Profile range and over-the-range microwave. Refrigerator is extremely noisy and runs a lot, more so than any other model I have ever had. It "grumbles" like an old man getting out of bed with creaky joints. One has to be a body-builder to push the options pads (water, ice, etc.). Requires hard pushing in order for the option to respond. Same with the microwave. Extremely hard, not "just touch" but PUSH. Don't use my age as a reason why I find the pads hard to push. I am not a weak person. My son has the same concerns. He purchased same model around the time I did and is experiencing the same problems with noise and ease-of-use. The appliance has some good qualities. Size, appearance and layout. Lot of money for a GE product that doesn't live up to the company's reputation. Why it sounds like it is always ready to take flight is a problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Loud Ice maker sounds like an engine starting. It is so loud and distracting. The ice maker runs out of ice so quickly because it is so small. It is a pretty refrigerator but I would not buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stratigicly placed layout = good space compromise Easy install amazing lighting easy-to-understand controls fairly quiet and neat Auto sensor for filling hands-free... love that it doesn't stick out from the cabinets like my old one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I was afraid of going to a smaller refrigerator, but the lay out is perfect and plenty of space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features & appearance; questionable initial I bought this refrigerator inSeptember '16. The looks are excellent. The features, such as measured- and hands-free water fill are tops, as is the freezer space flexibility. The downside is that the fridge was extremely noisy from day one. We had GE out twice the first two months, and a third visit finally fixed the loud motor/fan causing the problem. The fridge is now of a more nominal noise level - certainly not the quietest, but not distractingly loud. Assuming we will get a nice long life from this fridge, we are quite happy with the purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice auto-fill feature, but some issues Generally happy with the fridge. We bought this model because I had previously owned a GE that had the auto-fill, and this model also included that. The auto-fill feature is terrific and something I find I use all the time. Again, that was one of the main reasons we got this fridge. The problem I have had with this particular fridge is in the freezer area, specifically the freezer top drawer. It does not slide well and always seems to come off of it's glides and I cannot seem to figure out how to make it stay correctly.
