Rated 3 out of 5 by iron110 may be better for delicate fabrics
I bought this to use on delicate fabrics, especially the thin polyester or rayon flimsy blouses that are still trending, and also some gauzy-type blouses and dresses as well. I admit I still prefer the crisp look a conventional iron gives, but another reason I bought this steamer is so that my 15-year-old special-needs daughter could use it on her own, as I feel an iron poses more of a burn risk. She did use it, and she feels she sees a difference in the before and after look of her blouse. I felt I didn't really get results unless I actually touched the steamer to the fabric, which the directions say you're really not supposed to do. I'm still glad I purchased it, but I don't find it as necessary as I once thought. I'm still happier with a "cool" iron, but I have peace of mind that I can use a steamer option if I ever wish, now that I own one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PopcornPerrier "Extreme" Effectiveness & Convenience!
This hand-held steamer is FANTASTICALLY effective. Clothing to which it's service has been applied looks as if it just arrived from the cleaners, or, as if it was fully ironed the "old fashioned" way on a cumbersome ironing board and with a traditional iron. It's handy in that the handle is easily gripped. The water reservoir is ample. The unit heats quickly and produces an astonishing amount of steam. The attachments help to add finishing detailed touches such as smoothing and creasing. At this price, and for this performance-level, this is a purchase that everyone should consider making for themselves. I'm buying several more for gifts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by scuba4kitty First steamer, maybe my expectations were to high.
I got a great deal on the Conair- Extreme Steam garment steamer, and by the reviews I had high expectations. Not ever owning or using a steamer, I don't have anything to compare to, so maybe my expectations were too high.
It does work, but takes just as long as ironing. Jury is still out as I use it more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jcvawi very pleased with results
I read most of the reviews before I purchased this product. My old steamer was also a Conair, but was very hard to use, took a long time & did not do a good job. This one, heats up VERY quickly, there is a lot of steam, & it easily takes care of the wrinkles. Received t-shirts in the mail, so they were folded in a box. The Conair took care of the wrinkles very easily. In fact, I went ahead & steamed 3 more t-shirts for the people who were going to put them on at my house. They came out very neat. Now, I've just used it for those few items, but I hope it will continue to impress me. Taking it on a long weekend & am looking forward to de-wrinkling my clothes.

Bought this in replace of my upright steamer that quit working. I haven't tried it yet, but hope to be pleased with it. That is why I rated it average.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikki1Angel2 It works great
I was hesitant on ordering a handheld steamer because some of them do not work properly. The Conair is easy to hold and not heavy once filled with water. The steam is strong, hot and it certainly did take the wrinkles out. I am very pleased with the Conair Extreme Steamer. I would recommend this product.
