Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Iron I ever had. I am a man who irons his own shirts because I'm am very picky. I could not believe how this iron performs. I have some expensive cotton shirts (Not Staffords) that I have never been able to get to look smooth. On the first try these shirts looked as good as they did right out of the package when new. Creases in pants are sharp with no effort even on jeans (Yes, I iron my Levis.). All those holes in the plate make a really great difference from other irons I have had. It glides as smooth as silk. The narrow point can go between those 2 buttons on the sleeves. It puts out a great quantity of steam very quickly. I can see how well it would work as a vertical steamer to get wrinkles out. I don't care a lot for the cover on the water filling hole. It is difficult to open and close. Not the greatest design. It is very easy to fill because of the way the hole is located on the iron. I have only had it a short time so I cannot give a high rating on durability at this time. The only thing that does seem too fragile is the water filling cover. Right now I am not sorry for spending the money on this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great improvements!!!! Love it! Bought this iron because my husband knocked my old Rowenta off the board onto the concrete. After much researching (only roenta) and reading reviews, I chose this model. I truly love it! I can iron so much faster with this iron and the heavy steam output. Now I'm glad I was forced to buy a new iron. New and improved for sure!! Don't like the color for the water fill display....can't really see the water until it gets to the top. Also don't like that I have to tip it to fill it as well as open a lid. I might add that due to the weight of this iron, a flimsy ironing board would be a hazard in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great iron that really does the job I am a novice clothing maker and this iron really is an amazing product. The steam feature goes above and beyond any other iron I've used. It heats up extremely quickly and the auto turnoff feature is helpful for when I have longer breaks between using it. When I return to the iron it is ready to use in a short amount of time. I really enjoy the click function of both the temperature and steam settings and the range in precision is nice. I do appreciate also that i can find an iron well-made and made somewhere other than China.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best iron I've ever owned! My husband and I use this iron on a daily basis, and we have been doing so for several months. The iron has a good amount of weight to it, which makes it an excellent choice for steaming in creases on my husband's dress pants. It puts out a large amount of steam, so it does a great job of pressing out wrinkles. It's also very easy to fill with water. I've had cheaper lightweight irons before, but they pale in comparison to my Rowenta Promaster. It heats up fast, and it gets the job done!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Steam This iron has a lot going for it. I like the narrow tip for getting into corners on shirts, etc. There is a lot of steam. It has heft, so no need to press down hard to get good results. Problems: It is hard to scale back the steam - you either get a lot or almost none. It is easy to bump the dial to set the heat level, so it gets changed while ironing. Over all, however, I do like this iron. I have been ironing for over 50 years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great iron. I use this iron for everyday ironing. It is a very easy iron to use. I love the way my clothes look after ironing. The only complaint I have is with the water reservoir. The coloring of the iron is so dark that you cannot see the water level. I have to hold it up to direct light to see the level. Otherwise this is a great iron. It is the third full size Rowenta I have owned. I also have a mini iron I use in my sewing room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent iron despite a few quirks Excellent iron, there are a few little things that keeps me from giving 5 stars: the water level is hard to see through the dark plastic of the tank. The water tank is too small! We quickly run out of water when using steam. The steam control has little fine control: it's steam or no steam, despite a graduated slider. Otherwise, it's the best Iron I had so far after trying 5 or 6 other brands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I love Rowenta Irons I had my first Rowenta for over 22 years, I would still have it but after knocking it off the ironing board twice and falling on a hardwood floor it was in several pieces. It still works but common sense told me not to use it so I purchased a new one. Moral of the story? Turn the lights on when you walk around in your sewing room in the middle of the night.
