Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Power of Rowenta Extremely well designed, the power and effectiveness of 1800 watts for steam is very powerful. The sleek and smooth delivery of heat, the design of auto off of steam is perfectly planned. This is a massive amount of iron, that delivers all aspects of a great ironing experience. Ironing for me is a therapeutic and calming experience, why not have the best product,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from have not used it yet This is going back to the store for a new iron. It has definitely been used since the packing was not around the iron. Not taking a chance that it does not work. Will replace with new one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome product This product works great! It steams perfectly, and irons neatly!! I love it!! The iron is a little heavier than my old iron, but the benefits outweigh that issue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best. Iron. Ever. Let me start by saying I absolutely loathe ironing. Of all my many household responsibilities, it is my absolute least favorite. With this iron...I hate it a little less. It is POWERFUL. Pressing the steam button will blast this thing across your board. When I filled up the tank the first time, I was a little bummed it didn't hold more water, but I've been presently surprised by how long the steam lasts. It gets into all the tight corners on dress shirts easily with the shaped "nose." I also like the weight. My last iron weighed a ton and was tiring to use, but this one is just heavy enough that I don't have to press down but still light enough to glide easily. I've looked at Rowenta irons in the past and wondered if they were really worth the hefty price tag...now I know they are. I will never by a different brand iron. This thing is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I still don't like ironing, but this one makes it tolerable I hate ironing. I don't know many people who like it. I sure don't. At my house, it usually means getting out all sorts of starch, spray bottles, irons, boards, etc - it's a mess. This iron definitely still is an iron, so it's got that going against it, but other than the fact that you have to actually iron when using it, it's a great iron. It's significantly nicer than the one I got when my husband and I got married (probably a $35 model). It heats faster and more evenly, feels sturdier, has better construction, and when using it, it somehow gets the wrinkles out better. I know, it seems like an iron would be an iron, but this one does it better. Maybe it's the water feature. Sure, it's got the spray feature that a lot of irons have, but the steam feature is where it's at. I can hit the steam button once and it creates enough of a kick of steam to finish the entire back of one of my husband's dress shirts (with no starch) in seconds. It's so efficient. So basically, if I absolutely HAVE to iron, using this one makes it easier and faster, which is a plus. Plus, I don't have to use starch, which I don't love because it just gets everywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is *the* iron for woven wrap geeks The Rowenta Steamforce was a big upgrade from my previous irons, and was very much worth it. The design allows for more control and precision than I was used to, and the fabric settings take the guesswork out of choosing an appropriate temperature for the fabric you are ironing. I love that there is a light to indicate when it has reached the desired temperature setting, and it heats up very quickly compared to the cheaper irons I've used in the past. I really enjoy the process of ironing my woven wraps with the Steamforce; it's therapeutic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product I've always thought, ".. an iron is an iron. Why would anyone pay that much for an iron? I can buy this 15 buck iron and it will do the same thing!" WRONG! This iron is amazing. It heats up fast. The steam penetrates deep into the fabric. It will NOT leave behind a wrinkle. With it being a smart iron, it senses when to stop steaming. This not only conserves the water, but conserves power as well! It is a heavy iron. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. It has a professional feel to it. It just glides over any fabric. Yes, it is a bit pricey. Pricey, but so worth it. I am a stay at home mom to 4 kids (and a husband). I do LOTS of ironing. This iron takes the stress out of it. This iron makes ironing FUN! You need this iron in your life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really a great iron. When I first took the Rowenta Steamforce Iron out of the box, I thought this it too heavy for me to use on a regular basis. However, the weight of the iron was not noticable when using the iron. The iron glided easily and I now believe the weight is beneficial in controlling the iron. I love the anti-drip system of no water dripping from the sole plate. The Rowenta Steamforce Iron works better than the other irons I have used that fall in the same price and function category. I plan on purchasing a Rowenta Steamforce Iron for my daughter and her family. This is definitely a great iron; very easy to use; and performs well on all types of fabrics. I have become of fan of ironing again since being introduced to this iron.

Yes, DW9280 is my new iron and weighs exactly 3 lbs, empty same as my previous Rowenta DW8080. I have a lot of linen clothing that require heavy steam and high temperature settings. I love this iron. Worth every cent.
